The Iranian president never said he wants to wipe Israel of the map
but Thanks to the neo-Cons & their cheer leader Fixed news channel (FOX)that keeps playing the story over & over until the people actually believed it
and Here's another translation to the speech which is translated by a British Man from London, U.K.
Title: "Wiping Israel off the map"
Name: Jonathan
City: London State: England
I have no view on this Rabbi. What I wish to highlight is your fine newspaper`s false assumption that President Ahmadinejad of Iran threatened to
"wipe Israel off the map." He did no such thing! And many of your readers are too well-informed to believe that he did.
Ahmadinejad was deliberately mistranslated. Even the Israeli website MEMRI admits this.
Ahmadinejad`s exact words:
"Imam (= Khomenei) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayed (must) az safleh-ye ruzgar (from the
page of time) mahv shaval (vanish from)."
The word "Israel" is not mentioned". The word "map" is not mentioned. And the words "wipe from" is not mentioned. All Ahmadinejad did was to
make a prediction that the present right-wing regime in Israel, with its extreme form of Zionism, would one day vanish from the page of history, i.e.
just like the Roman Empire had its day and then vanished.
No threat to destroy Israel except in your mind!!!
Orthodox Jew.
I rest my case & don't forget to watch how they fabricate the news.
