MSNBC report on Border incursion Oct 18 2007

So with a "War on terror" going on,and border security 'supposedly being important,how is this happening?
How is another countrie's millitary allowed to cross our borders and engage our law enforcement?
Im no pollitical scholar,but wouldnt that be deemed an act of war?
And why dosent our government care?
Could it be they have more to gain from allowing this to continue,than stopping it?
If your an American citizen,this should outrage you.

A true conservative non-globalist. Good luck finding one, although Dr. Paul comes close. I think his track record is good on border issues. I do know he against the amnesty bill and his goal is to remove troops from foreign lands and put them on the border.

The Army in 20 years when we are having to retake land. Until then, I don’t anything short of vigilante justice will get you on the front lines.

I've always known that the drug cartels had some deep pockets and I'm not surprised that the Mexican millitary would have rogue units helping them, that said....

It is amazing how little the State Dept talks about this, or how little anyone is doing anything about this!

Didn't that Bounty Hunter get extradited for going into Mexico to catch a convicted serial rapist? The US will extradite him, but won't make a stink out of the Mexican military shooting at our agents??!

I think this actually happened LAST YEAR, in october of 2006.

I can't find anything in the media, even on scarborough's webstie, except from this week last year.

Not that this makes it go away, but the media now claims that illegal influx has slowed, due to talk of a fence and american anger over the issue, etc.

Living in Texas, I think a lot of hispanics (I live in a hispanic community) were embarrased by the "pro-illegal" demonstrations last summer. I used to see mexican flag decals on pickups and cars. I've only seen one in the past month, and I think it was a mexican national on vacation.

Not that I believe the media, but a lot of LEGAL hispanic americans are sensitive to questions about their relationship to the USA.

I heard on C2C some time ago, maybe a year (?) ago, about an all-out war happening in a Texas town that mainstream media was flat out ignoring. I can't provide a source, but the guest was talking about it, and a caller was saying how the town she lived in had had three different sheriffs shot to death within something like a month's time. There was also another caller talking about waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of automatic gunfire.

I tried to find out more about this, I even emailed Lou Dobbs since he was covering the whole immigration thing, but never heard back or found any info about it. Does anybody else remember the show that night?

whats going on at the mexican border is just outragous. i'm detained by canadian and american border/customs agents when i fly in and out of our countries-have no criminal record am white english speaking male that worked for canadas government for +34 years yet am always detained at their counters when everyone else is allowed thru with no problems----and here's mexicans military that does whatever they feel like across the usa border------as soon as irans ahmadinejad gives the mexicans enough money a nuke /nukes will come thru with a mexican escort.what else could make sense other than that usa officials get a cut of the drug money profits or own some of the drugs and the gangs?

Its a damn shame that we let the government tell us what we can and cannot put in our bodies.

I've googled "U.S. Border Incursions" and its interesting that there is no news regarding this issue after sometime in 2006. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the issue is not resolved though the news blackout on the issue intends us to think differently. Was anyone able to find out any new info? We should have sent national guard troops there immediately.

If this is true and hasn't been addressed by main stream media, then someone or group is purposely hiding the incidents.

I can't believe that the Mexican Military is shooting at our border patrol and nothing is really being done.

Could a citizen’s militia actually engage Mexican military units crossing the border without authorization?

Could there possibly be any law against that?

I think a legal case could be made in support of the militia.

Also, if those Mexican military units killed an American while on our side of the border using Mexican military vehicles and weapons, would that be enough to demand a U.S. military response?

Worldnet daily reports the stand off or incursion was by American commandos of sorts with Humvee. Worldnet daily also has some links to other Mexican border problems from the past. I just seen a PBS show a month or two ago with border patrol agents telling how the illegal crossings went from something like hundreds to now thousands a day.

There seriously has to be more done to prevent this. I mean its just insane to have another countrys military shooting at us in our own county and dont do anything about it. Theres problably something going on up in our goverment, like at the end of the video kind of said. One more reason I hate bush.

How are we supposed to take the war on terror seriously when the southern border is still wide open? If these muslims really hated us as much as we are led to believe then it would be logical to assume they are dressing up like mexicans and hopping the border in hordes.

Well it looks as if the Mexican government has chosen to declare war on the United States.

An invasion on US soil by a foreign governments military is AN ACT OF WAR.

Time to start dropping the bombs.

I had a friend come back from a trip to Texas and give me a little insight into what we are not being told by the Liberal Media. He was there for competition he was involved in. While there he was given a tour of Big Bend Park on the Border. They had to leave because of snipers. He and his Wife were shot at twice by two different snipers. His guide told him it is a daily occurrence there. Apparently snipers sit along the border at times and take pot shots at people.

Ex-Presidente Fox is making the circuit selling a book in the U.S.. If you want to see an obvious Con Man catch one of the interviews of this piece of work.

You’re right on my friend about this story and the liberal media bias!!

Everyone knows that Hollywood/NYC types are the primary beneficiaries of the contraband fueling this dirty issue: Drugs, Cheap Nannies and Gardeners.

The part I don’t get is why when The President is informed that his own state’s boarder guards are getting popped north of the Rio Grande, he sends back a reply to the chief of Federal boarder operations stating, “Thanks for brining our attention to the water issue.”

-that’s got to be a Homeland Security code for bong smuggling???
