Following recent statements made by George Bush and the White House which switches the argument to justify the war on Iraq as a Humanitarian Cause instead of the "imminent threat of WMD's" is being shot down by Human Rights Watch.

Human Rights Watch is an independent, nongovernmental organization, supported by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide. It accepts no government funds, directly or indirectly.

"While Saddam Hussein had an atrocious human rights record, his worst actions occurred long before the war and there was no ongoing or imminent mass killing in Iraq when the conflict began, the advocacy group said in its annual report. "

it was justified cause now saddam is out of power. this was the real reason and not wmd this was just a cover to bringing down saddam. it is cost reducing on the long end cause the cost of maintaining the no fly zones and the planes shot at and down in this zones ect.
