Should Hillary Be in Jail?

Topic started on 17-10-2007 @ 11:32 AM by Keyhole

Found this video on Google Video, it's pretty interesting!

It claims that Hillary KNEW her campaign fund raising was illegal, it explains how when Peter Paul was suing the Clintons, the Clintons had a judge that was appointed by Bill Clinton to preside over the case, and explains a lot of things that was done in her fund raising that was "less" than legal.

I hate to say it, but brace for more of this, probably another 4 or even (shudder) 8 years more of it.

UPDATE

Hillary will not be sued for fraud by Peter Paul, but she may still have to testify about what she knows about her campaigns illegal fund raising.

Senator Clinton Escapes Lawsuit But May Be Deposed

In April, Paul obtained a videotape that showed the former first lady helping to plan the event, which Paul said would constitute an illegal in-kind contribution. Cybercast News Service first reported the existence of the tape in April.

A California court ruled Tuesday that Hillary Clinton will not be a defendant in a fraud lawsuit brought by Hollywood mogul Peter Paul, who claimed the Clintons destroyed his business after he raised millions for her first Senate campaign in 2000.

But she could still be a material witness and be required to testify about what she knew concerning alleged illegal campaign fundraising.

And Bill clinton isn't off the hook yet either!

However, Paul's lawsuit is still in play against the senator's husband, former President Bill Clinton, the Clintons' business associate Jim Levin, and Hollywood producer Gary Smith, who were all involved in a Hollywood fundraiser, orchestrated by Paul, for Sen. Clinton's first Senate run in 2000.

She deserves to be in jail far more than Martha Stewart ever did.

But instead of being sent to jail, she'll probably be sent back to the White House.

It is hard to find a Hillary supporter in real life, yet the news keeps saying she is ahead in the polls, I think the news is saying to try and make it happen. If they say she is ahead enough times, people will think "well everyone else likes her" and just vote with what they think everyone else is doing.

Even with slanted media, suspect polls, and the election fiascoes of the past, I don't think she will win the primary. They are so scared of Edwards they only show short clips making him look bad.

You probably didn't realize how true this statement is.

An Unlikely Treasure-Trove of Donors for Clinton

The Times examined the cases of more than 150 donors who provided checks to Clinton after fundraising events geared to the Chinese community. One-third of those donors could not be found using property, telephone or business records. Most have not registered to vote, according to public records.

The tenement at 44 Henry St. was listed in Clinton's campaign reports as the home of Shu Fang Li, who reportedly gave $1,000.

In a recent visit, a man, apparently drunk, was asleep near the entrance to the neighboring beauty parlor, the Nice Hair Salon.

A tenant living in the apartment listed as Li's address said through a translator that she had not heard of him, although she had lived there for the last 10 years.

A man named Liang Zheng was listed as having contributed $1,000. The address given was a large apartment building on East 194th Street in the Bronx, but no one by that name could be located there.

In the busy heart of East Broadway, beneath the Manhattan Bridge, is a building that is listed as the home of Sang Cheung Lee, also reported to have given $1,000. Trash was piled in the dimly lighted entrance hall. Neighbors said they knew of no one with Lee's name there; they knocked on one another's doors in a futile effort to find him.

Salespeople at a store on Canal Street were similarly baffled when asked about Shih Kan Chang, listed as working there and having given $1,000. The store sells purses, jewelry and novelty Buddha statues. Employees said they had not heard of Chang.

Another listed donor, Yi Min Liu, said he did not make the $1,000 contribution in April that was reported in his name. He said he attended a banquet for Clinton but did not give her money.

One New York man who said he enthusiastically donated $2,500 to Clinton doesn't appear to be eligible to do so under federal election law. He said he came to the United States from China about two years ago and didn't have a green card.
