So add this to the growing number of countries investigating the moon.

China moon probe to launch this month

China will launch its first lunar probe at the end of this month with preparations already in their final stages, a senior official said Tuesday.

[...]

Advanced cameras and X-ray spectrometers have been installed in the orbiter to map three-dimensional images of the lunar surface, analysing moondust and studying the space environment between the Earth and the moon, he said.

[...]

The launch of the moon orbiter is part of a three-step lunar exploration programme China hopes will eventually see moon samples brought back to Earth.

China's space agency chief Sun Laiyan earlier said the three phases involved orbiting the moon, landing on the lunar surface and coming back to Earth with samples.

Nice. It'd be nice to see those 3D images. That would confirm or refute the claims of moonbases or other fringe theories.

All set to go!

Here's some links:

No connections to NASA so I guess we'll have to wait and see if they'll be more forthcoming with their imaging.

I'll guess the Chinese will be so terrified, just like the Americans a few decades ago, that they also will hide from the public all the evidence about the permanent colony built by the Grays eons ago and now inhabited by the Freemasons from the former Nazi SS. Just also forget about John Lear's "Souls' Catcher Tower", because they will hide it from us too!

Am I the only one that has wondered if these other countries monitor places like ATS? It could make them paranoid enough to go to the moon to see what the US is hiding, provided they starting believing in some theories here. It would boost a certain "moon man's" ego to think he helped get China interested in moon exploration. Huh, John?

"It will take 3D images and analyse the distribution of elements on the surface, according to China's state-run Xinhua News Agency."

And what will they "smudge" out? oh yeah, nowadays you use advanced software instead of smudging it out.

"Japan, India, Russia and the Europeans, as well as the Chinese, want to go too."
The more the merrier, therfore more leaks as too what is really going on up there.
