Does this make Obama one of the "Grove" clan? Seems like a fresh face in politics is just an old face with new makeup on. ....and the rich get richer.

I really do not think this is that big of a deal. I mean they are ONLY 8th cousins, isn't that really DISTANT? I mean for all you know you could be 8th cousins with Bush or something.

Eighth cousins is pretty far removed. Though could be something more to it or in the future, regaurding them.

I'm cousins with the current Shrub in office (pretty distant cousins that is, on the Walker side as in G. H. Walker Bush).

I'm also related to Meriwether Lewis (of Lewis & Clark)

I think we'd all be surprised with who are families are tied to if you look hard enough
and are lucky enough to find the records.

Half of my family came over through Ellis Island and trying to find out anything BEFORE that can be quite difficult and frustrating.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is: So What?
