Nevada Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Videotaped Himself Raping 3-Year-Old Girl

I'm not going to comment on the war going on with what should be done as punishment to this man, it seems that's going on fine without additional fuel for the fire. Think of this though, will some type of punishment make the situation better for anyone other then the mental fulfillment of vindication? I'll leave it at that, because I don't want to join the flames.

That being said, we can all take some solace in knowing that this girl currently has no memory of the encounter:

The girl in the videotape was found with her mother in Las Vegas on Sept. 28. Now 7 years old, she has been described as happy and healthy, with no memory of the 2003 encounter with Stiles.

That's good to know she currently has no memory of the act. Yet. Age 3 is somewhere in that memory transition period where things become stored in a manner that can be recalled later in life. The memory is still there, and always will be. It's just a question of it has been stored in a way that is even chemically possible for her to recall. If it has, it's only a matter of time before the block breaks down.

No, it just reduces testosterone production meaning the man has weak if any sexual urges. Testosterone supplements, which are readily available for men who have had testicular cancer and can be purchased online, remedy this.

There is no "treatment" for someone like this. You can't make them better.

i'm sure something will happen, who knows what that will lead for this poor girls memories to start flooding back.

first time she is getting intimate perhaps with a man and the man starts touching her..might trigger some feelings.

the only good thing is that is happened where she can not remember it now. hopefully she will have a great childhood all the way through...i'm sure at some point though, she will have at least partial recall.

The memory part I do not agree with. I can remember traumatic events that happened when I was 2 yrs of age, and mine weren't that terrible but I still apparently at that age thought it was traumatic enough to store it in my memory. This child is 3 and I'm sure she may not remember it all but believe me she knows that something wrong happened to her.

Any traumatic experience like that is going to devistate her whether she is conscious of it or not. Even though she may not remember it, or one day may remember a small brief image, it will effect the way she treates adults, and responds to them.

From my upbringing, as a result, I have no compassion toward my family. I don't remember most of it, but I do remember an item I was hit with. Pain like that subconsciously changes you. I don't hate my parents, but no matter what they do, at this point, I will never have any feelings toward them. Up until 17 I felt this way and didn't know why. I didn't even really remember most of the early childhood events till I remembered a bit later in my life when my neighbor made mention of them. I had remembered my neighbor of 9 (when I was 5) saying "Don't tell on him, his parents will beat him with a *item hear(no need to name it)*"

So I know, without a doubt, this is going to create a LOAD of problems for her down the road. Her experience I consider much more devistating then mine, and mine has left me with many issues.

Personally I hope they kill the bastard in whatever way they deem fit.

even in prison, there is a certain code and there are things that you don't do.
rapists are not that well received in prison but child rapists are the worst.
if you're going to prison for that, you're gonna have a hard time...

one way or another, they'll mess this guy up.

they should scream it through the trial as fast as possible and then one of his first days in jail, just look the other way...simple as that.

humanly i'd agree with you but there should be more to this------how did this guy get to think that he had a license to do this to her?if its due to pornography that portrays this activity----execute those that show/sell this stuff for money-----and do it in public------same with the pedophiles that get caught-------a beating with that bambo cane they use in malasyia that leaves you unable to walk for 3 months followed by a public execution hanging or frying in an electric chair televised to the nation and with a public gathering-----you know ---like that jerry springer show ? i know this sounds callous but how else do you get get through to some that think what he did was no big deal?

While I personally don't believe capital punishment is the right course in any case, I can say it doesnt really matter much this man will be dead within weeks if not days of being released into the general population in prison. And I am not trying to be all pansy about it, I don't believe there is a sane person out there who doesn't feel this man deserves to be cruely and unusally punished for this crime, it is a vile dispicable and totally evil thing he has done. And his fellow inmates will punish him accordingly and probably to swiftly.

I think such actions are inexcusable. You know what your doing is wrong, you do it anways, and in the process you destroy the life of an innocent child.

There is never a excuse for behaviour such as this....EVER! While most people deserve a 2nd chance, people like this used theirs up when they went from 'planning or thinking about doing it' to the act itself.

Has it occured to those that think peace, love and enough understanding therapy will 'cure' this man, that maybe there isn't anything to cure? Blaming it on 'urges' is a really good way to play to the hippy types who belive no one should ever be punshed in a significant way.

For abominations (calling him an animal would be an insult to animals) like him torture is too good. Although I have to admit the old torture of suspending by the feet and cutting in half lengthways does hold a certain charm for people such as this. Mainly as the blood rushes to the head and keeps them alive longer as they die slowly and horribly.

Pedeophiles should be wiped out..male or female. No exceptions and no mercy for these sick twisted abominations.
