Nancy Pelosi is insisting on bringing the genocide resolution against Turkey up for a vote.

Pelosi is forging ahead with the vote even though eight former Secretaries of State, Henry Kissinger, Alexander Haig, George Shultz, James Baker, Lawrence Eagleburger, Warren Christopher, Madeleine Albright, and Colin Powell, representing Democrats and Republicans, signed a strongly worded letter stating that such a resolution WILL hurt the national security of the United States, and will endanger troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Considering that Turkey is an important ally in the wars in both Iraq, and Afghanistan, and considering the resolution condemns Turkey for acts that took place 100 years ago by the Ottoman Empire, the timing and substance of this resolution seems to be a political and transparent attempt to undermine the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

By definition, what Pelosi is doing is an act of treason. It is aiding the enemies of the United States. Her incredibly lame response is that the current wars are irrelevant when it comes to this matter, and that the U.S. has waited long enough to officially declare that a genocide happened 100 years ago.

In fact, Pelosi is committing an act of treason by intentionally bringing this resolution of for a vote at this time. Even the Armenian leaders in California stated that they did not want this resolution voted on now because of the backlash that the Armenians will suffer.

What is disgusting is that Pelosi is willing to trade the lives of U.S. troops for Armenian votes from her district.

After her debacle in Syria, can anybody honestly think that Pelosi is working for the best interests of the United States? She has put partisan politics ahead of U.S. national security, and should be held accountable.

You can email Pelosi at this link. Let her know what you think.
