A former Soviet spy who came to New Zealand seeking refugee status says he was harassed and assaulted by security agents before finally leaving the country of his own accord....

TV ONE's Sunday programme has revealed Karpichkov entered New Zealand on a forged Lithuanian passport. He was here 15 months seeking asylum.

What I find interesting about this story is that he revealed he entered on a forged passport, and was allowed to leave on a forged passport.

Something stinks and I shall try to find out more.
