But pi is a scalar. Are you saying that you have some kind of eigenvalue equation thing worked out. There's no way of arranging the alphabet into a square matrix, so I guess pi would have to be the eigenvalue, the alphabet its corresponding eigenvector, and you have some matrix, A, such that

A*x = pi*x

where A is a 26*26 matrix, and x = {a,b,c,...,z}

So the two big questions (for me anyway) are:
1) What is the nature of the matrix A?
2) Why would anyone care?
