Galloping Hordes is having some surgery.

In a couple of weeks, on October 22nd, she's going to have some surgury on her eyes to remove some cataracts...understandably she's a little worried. Even though its a fairly straight forward procedure, it is surgury.
She's a little worried, actually scared is more like it. Far as that goes, I'm a little worried, too.

Any and all best wishes to her would be apprieciated, not just by her, either.

Good luck with everything gallop! I hope the surgery goes well and you make a speedy recovery. If you don't come back, some of us are going to ............ or is it ? I'm not really sure about that one!

I hear cataract surgery is pretty routine -- but I'm scared to dickens about people messing with my eyes, so I understand your fears, GH. I had the opportunity to have Lasik and I couldn't do it.

She's gonna be just fine I know lots of people that have had it, and their eyes are just like brand new, and I hear it's pretty much....a painless surgery. My thoughts will be with you no matter what, and don't forget, when you get all better....we're going on that wine tasting trip

No worries hon, my mother in law had it done a couple of years ago.. She couldn't believe how easy it was and that her fears were unfounded.
You will do just fine.

Yesterday was the first one and I go again on the 12th of No.. It went well and when the dressings come off this morning we'll know whether I'll have to continue to wear glasses all the time or just for reading.

Well, at least you'll have a couple of weeks of not going into chat looking like a one-eyed pirate!

You know I wouldn't mind the pirate look if only it was just a little bit attractive or dare I say sexy.

But it ain't.

it is if you put the right eye patch on over the bandages, wear a frilly shirt and some swashbuckling pantaloons and swing from the sails.
