Hmm. Am I intolerant? Maybe, if being intolerant of intolerance counts as intolerance. Is it so bad not to tolerate those who refuse to be tolerant of other peoples' beliefs? Either way, "tolerant" is a fun word. Maybe that cow should learn it.

I'm fully aware that she WANTS people to have these angry reactions that she gets. However, she does NOT make money off of my reaction because I do not buy things from her - I'm not willing to risk the possibility that she would turn the money over to the KKK.

By the way, if somebody like her came HERE, or to many other forums on the internet... oh boy! She'd be labelled a "troll" and banned. Why? Because, by her defenders' own admissions, she's just saying alarmist crap to get a rise out of people. Oh wait, that IS trolling. She just does it on a much, much larger forum.

For the record, anyone who thinks I should either join THEIR religion or get out of MY country should just go start their own country. They can call it Inquisition Land or something, and their constitution can state all kinds of things such as "You have the right to do what I say!" and "God is better than science, so stop inventing things!"

the fact that Ann Coulter actually has enough of an audience to drive her into the best seller list (amazing) proves the hate and viciousness that drives the conservative/hard right movement, despite their claims to the contrary.

Why?

Because she doesn't contribute anything to the public discourse, no ideas, no policies, no ideals or philosophy. All she does is spew hate and invective and venom in a smug self satisfied way.

She has all the right to say what she wants in the world but that does not change the fact that all and all she is a totally contemptible person.

And, it certainly not the quality of her writing or reasoning abilities that put her in the best seller list. It is people who agree with her.

In short... logic dictates that the people who buy and read her work agree with her hate, invective and venom.
And who are they? Conservative Republicans.

Man, everyone is jumping all over her, i have to admit, i haven't seen more the a few seconds of her, but i was paying attention when she got the job, and heres what i thought 'ahh, get a pretty little blonde girl to talk nicly on the news, no thanks' and i pretty much left it at that, and each tidbit of information i got about her only seemed to verify what i had originaly thought, and now this happem, well, this is kind of sick.

and i disagree with you Grover about buying someones book means you give full fledged support to them and thier polocies, i have a copy of Bill Clintons 'My life' and a couple Al Gore books... and i would say that i agree with the rethoric that they are saying... have you never looked and tryed to break down what your opponts say and belive iwth logic, its a good way to test your beleifs, if they are saying something that makes sense, well it makes sense, it doesn't matter much who said it.

You need to keep your brain in shape, and if that means listening to the incohert babeling of someone, then so be it, just don't be fooled by it, break down what they are saying in your head, and come to terms with it, that it is either garbage, or there is some merit to what they say.

If I want to know what ann coulter is thinking (shudders at the thought) I will go to her website and read her blog. I have several times and if anything she is nastier on it than in her books or on TV.

I will not give her my hard earned money though.

BTW she is not and has never been a news anchor. She was a so-called lawyer before she was a spewer of sewage.

I have the feeling that many people who comment on her (many times those who are either ultra-sensitive or simply oppose her view) are fair as closed minded as she is claimed to be.

Personally, being a conservative but not a Christian, I don't think what she said is really that far outside what is truth for Christians.

Sooooooo, who cares, why, and why is her point wrong. That would be much more interesting reading than more venom directed at a woman who's claimed to spit venom.

Kinda funny, but then again kinda sad.
