I would like to hear from Mr. Lear in regards to his claim that the U.S purchased Australia. I don't want to move to a country where the government
will kill thousands of innocent people.
Thanks in advance for you reply

Yes I did see his preposterous post stating that and I called him out on it.
His reply was that he was going to do a big post on it and how the CIA got Whitlam out.
Totally ridicuous and outrageous claims. I was friends with Gough Whitlam in the early 70's through music and have a bit of knowledge about how
Whitlam was bounced out of office and it had nothing to do with the CIA, more to do with the Governer General, Sir John Kerr. That fact alone shows
that the US did not 'own' Oz as Oz had a Governer Generel who technically had more power than poor old Gough and reported directly to the Queen.
I feel our Mr Lear makes these outrageous claims just to promote controversy.

That an absolutely ridiculous claim by Mr Lear
Sometimes I think he just gets up in the morning and decides on a new conspiracy to start. CIA had nothing to do with it, they have no power here. It
was all that a-hole John Kerrs fault, just another reason why we should ditch the monarchy

Pffft. Just watch The Falcon and the Snowman, if you want to find out about CIA connections with the Whitlam dismissal. There are a multitude of
reasons postulated for the dismissal, ranging from the renewal of the lease for Pine Gap, Whitlam trying to buy back Australian mineral rights, Rupert
Murdoch's power lust, talking to the Chinese (as Nixon was at the time), in short, everyone had their snout in the trough, and still do.
i think Chorlton has been eating too much black pudding. Ecky thump!
As to Australia being owned, good luck with that, I don't think you know what you're buying.
For your reading pleasure.

Tid bit........
In high school the Whitlam topic is barely touched, same with Israel. I only left high school 10 years ago and I know this is still the case.
As an adult i tried to investigate the whys hows and whos. I even asked older people about it. Responses would vary depending on the political side
one took at that time.
Sifting through the ins and out of the issue, I could only come to the same conclusion that Mr Lear has. I brought this up with my labor die hard
grandfather who straight out said I was mad, untill he thought about it.
I was too young to have the properganda in my face so i had to sift through the facts. It is the only conclusion I can come up with.
Seems Mr Whitlam may have been a bit too socialist with his views. Things like universal health care, and free university for the gifted are frowned
upon. We are so brainwashed by Murdoch we call anyone who holds those values today a "bleeding heart lefty". Imagine if we had free university for
the gifted for over 30 years, we would have enough doctors and dentists we wouldnt have to import them from India. We would have enough scientists to
combat our unique environmental problems.
I dont know about the CIA owning Australia, but look into the nugan hand bank(I come across this in my Whitlam research). I can safely say that the
sleepy town of Ocean Shores near Byron Bay was owned and developed by CIA drug money.( In the same era an exodus of hippies hit northern
NSW,coincidence?)
Who does ASIO answer too? It aint the Brittish.......
I would imagine that Australia is the Rockerfellers poster child. We are setting the stage.
If Rudd gets in, and he will cause they are taking a dive for this one(Malcolm turnbull will be our new dictator in 4 years, he has the rhodes scholar
credentials). Ive often wondered of he will get the Whitlam treatment so we dont become to chinese swayed. Mr lear does this prospect have the
potential to get "them" worried or will Rudd be a trojan horse for them?
and sr71b, the cyclone in 1897 that tore apart Stradbroke Island will come again and the whole of surfers will be swallowed in its sand foundations.

Why do you people repeatedly afford John Lear even the tiniest bit of respect and credibility by even asking him questions about nonsense like this?
He has done nothing to deserve being taken seriously.

Considering there is someone in this thread who personally knew Mr. Whitlam, then I think John's theory has been debunked before it was even
stated in detail.

Rofl -- I think I'd much rather atleast see what Mr. Lear has before blindly believing some ATS user under the name of 'Chorlton' that
claims to have been 'friends' with Mr. Whitlam, who therefore MUST know EVERYTHING!
All I see from Chorlton is attempts at degrading any purposful conversation or debates, just because it's very different from the mainstream status
quo. He tends to have nothing to offer other than his very cynical oppinion -- about how it's all rubbish. Someone should remind him that this IS a
so called 'conspiracy' forum. But of course -- he just here to 'deny ignorance', right?
Nah... I think I'd much rather see the data myself and make up my OWN decision. But thanks for the laugh!

I was trying to be polite in asking him to elaborate on his snippet about the US owning the Roos. If the US owns Australia I wonder what his take is
on Canada? I'm sure they already own us too. Our Dollar is worth more than the greenback, obviously the treasury dept is funneling it's money into
Canada for the inevitable takeover?
Did I just come up with a conspiracy theory? Dang, can I get my own forum too
Thanks for your reply

Are you seriously asserting that another human being knowing another human being is more laughable than America purchasing another country? I
certainly hope not.

Actually -- I certainly am. I've seen proof of weirder things over the years, and I'm not saying it's all truth -- but it's enough, that I've
become a firm believer that anything is possible. It's the possibilities I'm intrigued in, and thats all I need to continue
listening... with an open mind.
In regards to America 'purchasing' another country... Maybe you should not take every word so literally, and think in more logical/possible contexts
to interpret the meanings. Perhaps it's more a case of control through 'purchased' alliance. You know, just like America controls Iraq now that
they invaded and replaced leadership with their own choices.
It's not hard at all for me to imagine -- especially without knowing more specific details of the claim. Shouldn't be so quick to come to
conclusions.

How can a country purchuse another country? Seriously, pull your head in John Lear. American may have some control politically in my great Country,
but owning it is another story.
It's claims like this that make most Australians hate Americans. The only thing America owns is it's ticket to hell.

i used to enjoy Mr Lears comments as seen on videos and such until he come here to ATS.
since reading many of his ignorant replies to very logical questions + answers by others i have come to the conclusion he's a crackpot who uses
others to further his own agenda (like he did with lazar, schnieder + co)
this is just more tripe, and leaves you with the same bad after taste as "soul catchers" and "apple crates" on the moon..
the only thing america owns in australia is a few large chunks of dirt where they occasionally like to blow stuff up. (or formerly blew stuff up, like
woomera)
and we all know "bald little johnny" is nothing more than a GWB shadow that follows him around like a lost puppy. (hes almost a gwb "yes man")
thats why we need the kruddster (kevin rudd) coz he wont be anybodys puppet or yes man.

You mean the IMF? US CORP is owned by the IMF. "America" as we know it belongs to a foreign corporation. So, you mean "Did the IMF purchase
Australia?"
