he turns 11 today and he wanted cash.

i am not real big on making a big deal out of it, getting a gift bag and paper and all that crap.
so, i figured i'd just toss him a fat stack.

it's $65.
a $20 bill wrapped around 45 ones

he's gonna bug.

he's a good kid...i am just not one to go spend the roll myself..

his mom bought him a jersey that was like $70...i just can't do that.

i'll tos him this stack and then probbaly take him to the mall and if he wants to buy something he can.

he's pretty tight though.
he likes to save his money and spend mine

Sounds like you kid has his head screwed on! I can never save money! It becomes radioactive near me and just melts through my pockets.

Nice stack BTW!! Hope you all have a great day.

What more could a kid ask for...and at that age..kids are hard to buy gifts for...it's an in between age..too old for toys..and too young for lots of other stuff.
Good decision Boondock.

What 11 year old boy wouldn't want a wad of cash

I know the first thing I did as a kid was look in the birthday cards for money.
And hey, don't take him to the mall right away, let him walk around with it for a while and take some time dreaming about what he wants to spend it on.

my kids would love you!!!

actually my 12 year is into money clips for his wad of cash. Might be a good stocking stuffer for your son if he still has any cash by then..

You can never go wrong with cash man. That way he can do what he wants to with it whether its putting it in a box and getting it out and counting it once in a while or buying him something nice. Good move.

How did he like the wad of cash ???
