I have said for a considerable time on my radio show, that the Knights Templars were innocent of the charges made against them - it seems that today,
the Vatican have finally confirmed this. Read the story

Interesting indeed.
What puzzles me is that if it was misplaced during the 17th century, why was there no record of it or perhaps even discussion regarding it before
then.
Seems like a tough piece of news to keep silenced, even back then.

Funny old Vatican, they seem to be doing a lot of this of late.
They forgave Mr Copernicus not long ago and one wonders who might be next???
Jean d'Arc?
Hitler???
I have no idea.

Joan of Arc I can understand them being remorseful for killing in as horrible a fashion as they did and for as unjustified a reason as well.
But I don't think the church ever got nasty on Hitler.
About the Templars, I say it's about time. There's just no excuse for killing thousands over a pile of gold (which they never got as it was).
Jacques De Molay must be smiling.

It takes them a long time to pardon people. It was only a few years ago that the Pope pardoned Galileo for having the audacity to suggest that the
Earth was just another planet and it goes round the sun instead of vice versa, despite the fact that this statement was simply based on observation!
I'm sure this is great comfort for the years he spent being fobidden to leave his house by the Swiss Guard!
This Saturday it wil be 700 years since the beginning of the purge (It's also my birthday, not that I have any connections to the Knights Templar!)
