40 years.
Wow, just wow.

Where did the time go ?

Back then, did time matter ?
Not really.

Summers at the lake house.
Oh my, fun times.

When you're 10 years old,
does wealth register ?
Not really.

It all seemed normal.

Playing on the tennis court in
the back yard.

Looking back, it all seemed
so normal.

God forgive me, I never knew.

Public school was easy.
Attitude was easy.
Chemicals were easy.

Wait.
The chemicals.
There's something there.
They were too easy.
Too easy to get, too easy to
do, too easy to get away with.

Too easy.
That was my life. Summed up.

Question is, if I could change any
of it, would I ?

Would I change puking my guts up ?
Would I change losing my virginity
to a stoned sitter ?
Would I change waking up behind a
dumpster ?
Would I change my decision to join
the military ?

Would I ?

Looking back, No.

My past is the reason I am who I am.

Looking back, I'd not change a thing.

Regards,
Lex

Not part of the baby boomers or generation x? Well, being raised in the 70's took its toll on many a good person. WE were the forgotten ones so long ago. Our contributions are still being alive to tell our tales so others can make wiser more conscientious decisions.

Antar,
Me being alive is a story
that may never be told.

Suffice to say, I am.

Thanks and regards,
Lex

Lex,

I agree with zysin5. Few words but says so much. Keep up the writing & I'll keep reading 'em.

Lex : I like your genuine memories. Like someone else mentioned, they're
easy reading, and to the point. Would like to hear your story of being
alive sometime? Take care and keep writing.
