Barack, Don't Forget Your Nazi Party Pin...

Topic started on 7-10-2007 @ 02:08 PM by DocMoreau

Okay, this is definitely a Skunk Works theory...

There has been recent 'news' about Barack Obama not wearing the little flag pin on his lapel anymore, because to him it represents a 'false patriotism'. At first I thought it was just a political news story about nothing really important.

But now I am not so sure. I cannot really figure out how the idea popped into my head, but I think what Obama is talking about is maybe even darker than we know.

Here is a link to a goole image search regarding Nazi Party Pins. These pins were worn in the same location, and in the same 'patriotic' manner that the American Flag Pins are worn today. The FLag as a Symbol, is Bush's swastika.

Here is movie review from 1997, of the the film Schindler's List
In simple terms this critically-lauded film is the story of Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) and his battle to save a few Jews from Auschwitz. A contrasting viewpoint is that we are presented the eternal battle between good and evil in the broadest possible way -- focusing on the practical genocide of the Polish Jews by the Third Reich. The reality is that Schindler's List manages to combine these themes brilliantly, with several others, while never losing track of the story or descending into sentimentality. Schindler is a German who came to Krakow with nothing but his charm and plans to leave with trunks full of money; his morals and allegiances are dictated purely by this desire. To this end, Schindler insinuates himself into parties and smoothly talks business with the Army officers taking some leave (wearing his Nazi Party pin, of course). In contrast, the Jewish population of Poland is being forced into the major cities such as Krakow.
www.film.u-net.com...

Notice how it mentions how Schlindler talks business with Nazi's while wearing his Party Pin. From my memory of that film, Schlindler was one of the Germans who was nazi because everyone was nazi, and wore is pin only to do business.

I don't know, I don't have more evidence yet. But even on this level, I think that there is something there. Today, while flipping channels, the NFL pregame shows were on Fox and CBS. On CBS, all the of the commentators, Dan Marino, Shannon Sharpe, and who ever else it was were all wearing American Flag Pins on their left Lapels. On Fox, no pins. Why are they wearing the pins on CBS, but not FOX? I don't know, maybe because CBS, the network with the all seeing eye as a logo, once had granddad Prescott Bush on its board of directors, years after he was a director of a bank seized for trading with Nazis... Grandaddy Prescott seems like he was a bad man...
Link to threads here at ATS with Prescott Bush CBS as the search term.

Perhaps someone could get screenshots of todays NFL shows to compare?

I dunno, the whole 'pledge allegance to the flag' ideal makes me feel a bit ill right now. I love America, but I don't like being coerced in to Nazism, and I think that being a patriot is okay, but confusing patriotism with jingoism is very bad.

Barack Obama was saying something more than "I stopped wearing the flag pin" when said that he stopped weaing the pin...

Wow, no responses at all?

I thought that there would be some discussion about this, even the regular thread derailers with their ad hoc attacks...

Believe me, Obama's decision not to wear the American flag has nothing to do with it resembling Nazism to him. Obama, as is Hillary, are socialists... They have no allegiance to their country.

I quit flying my flag after we invaded Iraq. I will not fly it again until January 20, 2009. I don't think you have to wear a piece of jewelry to prove that you love your country.

Obama loves his country just as much as I do and as much as I assume speakeroftruth does.

Speakeroftruth, Hillary Clinton is not a socialist. She is not popular with the left because she is a corporatist and a hawk, she is no liberal, much less a socialist. Barak Obama is not a liberal, either.

As far as socialism goes, this country has moved so far to the right that free public education is now considered communist. It's time we moved back to the center.

Really? Is that why our national borders are still wide open? Is that why we are talking about building a super highway through the US, Canada and Mexico? Is that why there is such a push for the US to lose its national sovereignty in our government? I can ask question after question. All of which points to this country not being nearly as "to the right" as you seem to claim.

Errrr

So your saying it was an evil act for Nazi party members to wear their pin? .. I don't get it.. I know the Germans killed Jews, Catholics, yada yada, but what does this have to do with pins? .. Party loyalty is a rational act for anyone, even if they did loose the war.

So because American law makers wear American pins we must be just like the Nazis?

Flawed logic.

Um, no...

I wasn't saying that the act of wearing a flag pin was evil
(insert any other straw man argument you want...)

What I am saying is "Perhaps Barack Obama is bringing attention to himself for the act of taking off the pin for reasons other than just to bring attention to himself. That the use of the pins is akin to the Nazi Party members wearing their party pins blindly with the evil around them, that much of what is masquerading as Patriotism in the United States today is actually Jingoism"

I then make a pop culture reference to the Movie Schindler's List, where a Nazi Supporter uses his pin to 'do business' in order to save Jews. Maybe I do this to gain sympathy for the meme "Barack, Don't Forget Your Nazi Party Pin... "

Then I pander to the 'conspiracy nuts' with an eyewitness (no pun intended) account on Sunday Oct 7, 2007 where the CBS (Amero-Nazi aligned to some) network sports puppets were wearing flag pins, and the Aussie Owned, NWO FOX sports puppets were not.

Any other questions? Perhaps you were reacting to the sensationalism of the thread title. Perhaps if you recommend a better one, a mod could change it.

I was commenting on the observations I made that the propaganda use of flag pins is akin to the propaganda use of Nazi party pins.

Since to most people the flag represents blind nationalism, not the constitution, I'm not a repecter of the flag. In the weeks after 911 when all the "patriots" (sheep) were flying flags from their car antennas, I just wanted to throw rocks and throw up.

Ever see the Seinfeld episode where Kramer enters the AIDS walk and refuses to "wear the ribbon"? Flag flying, flag wearing, it's all form over substance.

Ah.

I think I see what your trying to say..

That, like Nazi Germany, the removing of this pin automatically put Obama in a situation where loyalty is questioned... say, remove pin, you no longer care for the government ect.. yet none of these people wear their pin else where, only while in congress or senate.. so Obama removing it has caused a disturbance like taboo...

Yes, then I agree. If the man doesn't want to wear the damn pin its his right and we shouldn't question his loyalty.

allegiance to your country is an idiotic idea in this day and age

nationalism is an idea that should have died when the internet became prevalent, sadly the tribal mentality is a bit harder to snuff away than that.

the reason the pin is in the same place is because they are both the same type of pin... which predates nazism.

No, socialism is not responsible for open boarders. Capitalisms demand for open markets and cheap labour is.

Is that why we are talking about building a super highway through the US, Canada and Mexico?

Nope, see above.

Is that why there is such a push for the US to lose its national sovereignty in our government?

Dont see how this has anything to do with socialism

I can ask question after question. All of which points to this country not being nearly as "to the right" as you seem to claim.

You can falsely ascribe your countries ills to socialism, but the only parasite living in your country is corporatism and its mother, capitalism.

On topic: I think the flag pins are more for show than an actual feeling of nationalism. Political image can make or break a campaign.

And only a person who is stuck in the liberal quagmire, which you are so obviously are, judging by your posts on social issues, would feel that way. There you have it ,folks... You see their agenda for what it really is.

No sovereignty. No ownership. They just want a big conglomeration of what is yours is mine and what is mine, let's all sing kumbaya and hold hands, mentality. It will never fly in the U.S of A. Obama and Shrillery Clinton are both of this mentality as are about 85% of the rest of liberaldom.

Thank you, Madness, for clarifying the view. After all, most of you (liberals)try to obfuscate it and make it hazy, but your statement makes it pretty clear as to what your goals are.

This is the bottom line of the REAL reason Obama refuses to wear the flag. He looks at it with scorn... I suspect it would have been better if we had an anchor and hammer as our national symbols, if you know what I mean. I am sure he'd have no problem wearing those symbols, along with that big cheesy ass grin of his.

Well I don't know about the Nazi's pins and Obama, but I had seen some head lines about it a few days ago.

Barack Obama Stops Wearing American Flag Lapel Pin

www.foxnews.com...

Snip~~

"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," he said in the interview. "Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism."

Of course, theres a giant conspiracy with all those on the left to take over US assets and make it all for one and one for all. You nailed it. Thank god we got that cleared up[/sarcasm]

It will never fly in the U.S of A. Obama and Shrillery Clinton are both of this mentality as are about 85% of the rest of liberaldom.

Doubtful, if anything Obama and Clinton both support the same BS foriegn policies that are selling out your country that many warhawk republicans support.

I suggest you stop attacking the left and realize that its not left vs. right, Its Class vs. Class brother. If your not in the top percentile, your expendable, regardless of your party status or creed.

Besides, I thought there was rules on this forum about poltical sniping and baiting?

If we as an alleged inteligent lifeform which to go further then patriotism, religion, boundaries and borders will have to go, the aforementioned are the cause of most wars.

Remove the inbred ideologies and conflict will cease.
