I have a legitimate, IRL concern that I am not currently at liberty to discuss, but if anyone has any information about a group calling themselves the
Star People that believes they will be the only humans left on planet Earth on December 13th, 2012, could you please post that information to this
thread?
Any help would be greatly appreciated by myself, my family, and my friends.
Thanks.

I don't have information on the Star People, but i do have some advice..
If you are trying to save yourself and people close to you from 2012 then i do find that respectable, but if the world will end on 2012 ( i personally
believe aliens will come one way or another) then you must live those 5 years to the fullest. Being held back by the thought of Doomday, and trying to
find a way to avoid it isn't a good way to live...
Please if you really want whats best for your closest, give them the best you can now. If 2012 is the end, then its the end. Nothing can really change
that. Go out with something to be thankful for...
All the Best

No, I'm sorry for the ambiguity, I'm actually trying to save a friend who does believe that the world will end in 2012 and is taking fairly drastic
steps to...I'm not sure what...save herself? This person operates outside of conspiracy circles and as far as I know has never done any research on
the topic.

I would tell her what i just said.
She can search for the solution to save herself, and get a less than stellar success rate. Or she can embrace the time between then, and now. With a
100% success rate if she chooses too. Enjoy that time now, if the world ends you can say "I enjoyed my time here" and if it doesn't end or
something great happens you can say "What a wonderful life, and it just got better"

I wish that I could do that, but unfortunately she's left her husband and two children with this aforementioned group. As someone who researches
sites like this and related materials such as books and periodicals, I had heard every 2012 theory there was at the time that she left, while she, as
far as I know, was ignorant to the idea. I now feel that our circle of friends, who have completely lost touch with her, are looking to me to use my
"expertise" to fix this. It's been about 3 months.
I really appreciate your advice.

You have a couple choices in my opinion.
You could sort of lie, and educate her (if you can) about the good theories for 2012. Leave all the negative stuff out.
You could take the harder route of debunking the 2012 Theories and proving to her nothing will happen.
You could do what i said.
You could tell her a version of what i said, but putting it more bluntly, saying "you got kids, give them the best you can" etc....
I honestly don't know what else to do, she left her husband and kids for this group, it seems she is pretty convinced...
The best thing to do is educate her about the good theories.
I personally like the Aliens coming back theory. Not matter what happens you will see something amazing.
Good Luck

I apologize. I'm trying to collect information from our ATS pool here, but my wife has specifically asked me not to post solid details about our
friend.

Basically no one other than the "Star People" knows where she is. Her cell phone has been shut off and as far as I know none of her email or social
networking accounts have been accessed in some time.
I'd like to get some contact information, or at least a clue about whether or not this organization has any structure, or what they may actually be
up to that requires five full years of work! What I further worry about is whether or not she's been abducted by a schizophrenic operating under the
guise of the "Star People" - I did a quick search on here and there are plenty of threads about the Star People but so far it's purely
metaphysical...no hard science or concrete facts.

I did a quicky search and produced these links
www.2012.com.au...
www.healing-arts.org...
unearthly-souls.tribe.net...
From what i skimmed over, they seem like a "good" group. Not to alarm or anything, but groups like these want to "ascend" to a higher plane or
whatnot. We saw what happens when "groups" want to ascend in 1997
Of course this group may be good with no intentions of "ascending"
Let us hope that is the case.

If the group is claiming to be the *Star People* they are Not. They are just using the name. Sounds like a Cult Group like Heavens Gate.

First off, It is truly sad that she "ran away" so to speak. It's also sad that there are people out there that convice others to commit suicide...
No matter what these people say, true or not, its allways a cult if they offer to commit suicide.
I'm a star child and that heaven's gate thing is retarded. Anyone who is truly aware, would understand that it is a breach of our contract and our
mission, if we commit suicide.(that goes for anyone on earth) We are here for a reason and that reason was not so we could come down just do say
screw it and commit suicide, then go back up... lol... how ridiculous.
We all have a part to play in this existence we call life... Let's stop running away or waiting for ET to come down and do it for us, and get up and
take a stand for what we beleive in.
Lol oops sorry I guess I got a little carried away and off topic. Good day.

I think she is paranoid for no reason. Man has been predicting the end of the world since he was created. Perhaps something will happen in 2012, but I
highly doubt it will be the end of the world.
And DarkCyrus, you're the one who claims to be a soul from Arcturus, correct?
Everything I've read about these beings points to them being very caring and benevolent

The world will not end in 2012. You should tell her to do some research actually. Many people are convinced that something will happen, but many
believe it to be something good.
There will probably be more earthquakes, volcano eruptions and stuff like that up to 2012, but I believe it to be because of the increased solar
activity, which melts the ice, which causes the pressure on the earth to decrease.
Did you know that apocalypse also means "prophetic disclosure"?
Tell your friend to actually look into this, instead of believing the world will end. Ask yourself this... why would there be new kids being born
today who say things like "this planet will go through a very exciting change and Im here to help make that happen" when they are like 3 or 4 years
old, while also talking about their real parents "in the stars"?
There is not going to be a end of the world. Just a very exciting change, in my opinion.

any of their HQ.. So all those helpful commnets on how to convince his friend she is wrong might really not be the thing he needs now ..
At least thats how I understood his request ..

Yes, this part is true, unfortunately. However, I'm finding all the comments helpful and you are all reinforcing the thoughts I had from the
beginning of this whole little ordeal. When I first heard what had happened, our circle of friends were totally dumbfounded and shocked by this 2012
notion, truly believing that she was having a psychotic episode or developing paranoid schizophrenia. I was able to operate as a voice of reason,
reassuring them that, even if there was nothing to this, there are thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of people out there who have theories about
and believe the year 2012 to be of some significance, including my maternal grandparents who kept wooden Mayan calendars on the wall.
A comment that really hit home for me was Copernicus':
"'this planet will go through a very exciting change and Im here to help make that happen'…, while also talking about their real parents 'in the
stars'"
This is something that she's said practically verbatim to two of her friends, as well as her husband.
I will reiterate to all of our friends that they should do some of their own research on 2012, and if she happens to get in touch with any of us
(especially her husband and children, whom she certainly loves and cares for, but just believes her 2012 "work" to be more important right now) to
tell her what they've learned and to urge her to do her own research.
It's my understanding that she is convinced that the person who opened her eyes to all of this is pretty much the font of all knowledge and I am not
sure if a website or a book is going to change her mind…she's going to think it's written by one of "them" to throw the real Star People off
their track. Maddening, I know, but some people's minds you can't change once they've been made up.

We're coming up on 4 months and still no one has seen or spoken with her.
I know we're basically looking at two scenarios: a) she's been brainwashed and kidnapped
or
b) she's using this rather unorthodox method of leaving her husband and two kids.
What makes option b most unlikely is that you're going to have to trust that she is mega into her kids and husband. Her husband is definitely her
best friend.
So any new information on an "organized" star people group or any rumors of an individual who might be gathering up young, good-looking females,
convincing them that they are star people and taking them off to prepare for 2012, please consider helping out.
Thanks, Luther Blissett

Luther, first of all I am very sorry you are going through this with your friend. It angers me to no end that there are people out there taking
advantage of these people both materially and physically.
Back in 1996 we had a friend come to us who wanted us to invest in a company that basically was going to perpetuate the 2000 doomsday fear. Of course
we did not, but we watched over the next four years as the media, computer specialists, survivilists, etc, all predicted possible scenarios of what
might happen and what people needed to do to "protect" themselves. Well nothing happened, but a lot of people made some fat cash off of fear. Now
we are seeing it again. If I could I would love to throttle the people who are pushing the fear factor button.
