Vampires

Many topics writen about Vampires,as i have read many discution about the paranormal.
Many with questions but arrousingly lots of replies are in a negative form...

You !Humans! believe what you see and only what you want to believe. Many of you think that Vampires are just a fiction and a joke of a mans mind.
You think that everything about Vampires are not real...NOT TRUE!!!

YOU!ppl see a lot of movies and believe that a Vampire is a blood thirst creature that is flying etc etc...

.::Types of Vampires::.
There are the Sanguinarian Vampires where they feed from types of blood in little ammounts..There are reports that other ppl Drink blood from their tradition or for the need of survival...
Another Type is the Psychic Vampires where they feed from emotions weather conditions and other things..Especially in life force....Reports also where made in this type as they socialise it as magic and telepathic's

.::The Name "Vampire"::.
Vampire is just a mane of some kind of the human form..
We die like you,we feed like you but we are not like you..
We have the control upon some energies of life. You can find this "energie controling"in many forms, like -chi- -magic- and also -faith-.
Most are confused in this matter and in many other things from "Consensus Reality"
All believe lots of things...
Question Example
o you believe in a GOD?
Do you Believe in Aliens?
Fae?Goblins?Angels?Demons?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[GOD=ppl believe in a God from the scripts that one man wrote.
The scripts where made by Humans and NOT from a God!!!But many ppl believe in a God cause its the way someone learned this person about faith and the need to someone believe in something..Few have seen miracles..So is there something that rules this place?Or is there a need to believe in a God?
Then Why dont you ppl Believe in something like a Vampire?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I read a topic of someone called (Nehmahati Kerosna) in the topic A Vampire related topic ....
I was very angry about the reply this person was given to his/her questions cause you ppl have no respect in someones belief and opinions.
You should be seeking knowledge in all things and not only in yours!!!

And yes Nehmahati there has been a war and still is.Not only you humans have wars...

For more info please contact me in Pm's.
Thank you for your time reading this..Believe in vampires...

Sincerely ~Black Veil Elder~

I'll just say, yeah, I believe in away. There can be no possible way of this being created and being fake (although the whole 'Vampire' story may have been diluted along the way).

Take Jesus for example, I don't deny that he lived and was a real person, I just believe that some of the things that people said he could do were exaggerated to give more hope to others that they had this ass kicking guy who would miracle the crap outta anyone who hurt his followers. For them to believe that good does triumpth over evil.

As with Vamps, I believe there was a guy called Dracuala, no way in hell can there be such stuff about him and none of it true. Every story has to come from somewhere and is never entirely made up out of thin air. No matter how good you are lol.

Anyway, I'd be intrested in knowing more about 'Vampires' and their way of live these days, cause I'd like to see how they've managed to keep themselves hidden away from society... or maybe they haven't been hiding.... hm... all around us maybe, without us knowing? lol

Anyway, till next time people (and Vamps if you're reading this lol)

If you search about vampires you will probably end up with some freaking people which think they are and know things..That i call it "Vampires and the Victims that love them"
I met very few that call them selfs vampires and really are..There is a vampire effect on humans nor see vampires as an idol from movies and stuff and try to do the same..like change the hair put fangs etc etc...
Vampires are arround us and not hide..or if some hide is because the sociaty will probably put them in a lunatic hospital instead of letting the person live his life as he wants...but if you meet someone and he sais he is a vampire dont seek for a proof but tell him/her to have a simple conversation with you..about history, books and many stuff...if he looks serious in what he is saying then probably he will be as real as you..

Please do not take offence to this: Your tell us (ATS) to take someone at their word about something with no proof?!
Well I honestly have to say, I do beleive in the possiblity of "vampires". There is such a lack of research into this subject you have to wonder why no one has looked indepth into it. (does that make sense? im really tired
)

So you think Harry Potter is also real?

Vlad Dracul 'the Impaler' was real.

Dracula was what we called fiction, albeit inspired by legends that grew up around Vlad Dracul.

I have an interest and belief in vampires..of both kinds..and I do not subscribe to the Hollywood version.
Your post leads me to believe that you are claiming to be a vampire, and seek to enlighten us about that. So, please do.I have an open mind, and Iam willing to listen.

Please then, continue. Oh, and pay it no mind if you hear a bit of snickering coming from this way...

Firstly let's start with something light hearted. nyk537, is that man in the background of your avatar, the fat version of Harry Potter? LOL

On we move to the thread title, Vampires! Ohhh, doesn't that make you shudder. Blood sucking creatures lurking in the nights awaiting a tasty neck to bite into. Now, as much as I'd love to believe vampires exist (i.e - what Hollywood portrays) I can find no proof of these creatures. I mean real hard proof. Trust me when I say I'm a 'fan' of vampires. I live the tales and I find it really intriguing, but alas, there's no solid proof these monsters exist.

Let's start with what could have caused the myth, then I'll talk about my findings on cultural myths and stories.

Ok where could the stories have come from. I've researched the stories of Vampires for a number of years believe it or not, in my free time. Sounds weird, but I find folklore fascinating. Straight away I can tell you about porphyria. It's a rare illness but the side effects are very much similar to the stories surrounding vampires.

Some modern scholars have argued that vampire stories may have been influenced by a rare illness called porphyria. The disease is a blood disorder that disrupts the production of haem. Porphyria was thought to be more common than elsewhere in small Transylvanian villages (roughly 1000 years ago) where inbreeding probably occurred. The haem group, found in every blood cell in the human body, is excited by electrons, but in a controlled fashion. However, the haem groups in porphyria sufferers causes uncontrollable tissue, bone and skin damage, made worse when the person comes into contact with sunlight. This would have given the porphyria sufferer a very pallid skin colour, with teeth that appear larger than normal, due to the porphyria damaging the gum tissue and causing it to recede. These people would have been very anemic, and drinking (animal) blood was a traditional treatment for anemia.

SOURCE

If we look back not so long ago, people were tried for witch craft and general other paranormal activities. So it wouldn't surprise me straight away, if people living in the middle ages who saw a pale, blood drinking human, would think "Ahhh monster!"

Now I'll share with you my research from the 90's. I posted this on numerous paranormal websites 'back in the day.'

The vampire myths go back hundreds, even thousands of years deep within different cultures. In Japan for example they believe in vampire foxes. Also this creature. Our modern concept of the vampire still retains threads, such as blood drinking, return from death, preying on humans at night, etc in common with the Eastern European myths. However many things we are familiar with; the wearing of evening clothes, capes with tall collars, turning into bats, etc are much more recent inventions. It's all been Hollywood 'glammed up' over the years. Americanized, I guess you could call it.

Somebody above mentioned Vlad and Romania is surrounded by Slavic countries, so it isn't surprising that their vampires are variants of the Slavic vampire. They are called Strigoi based on the Roman term strix for screech owl which also came to mean demon or witch. Vlad was a real person yes as mentioned, being on 47 when he passed away. He would inflict horrible tortures on his captives and legend has it that he drank blood. From the captives as a sign of domination and ruthless power? Who knows.

The vampire was usually first noticed when it attacked family and livestock, or threw things around in the house. Vampires, along with witches, were believed to be most active on the Eve of St George's Day (April 22 Julian, May 4 Gregorian calendar), the night when all forms of evil were supposed to be abroad. St Georges Day is still celebrated in Europe by the way.

Back to the Americanized version of Vampires and bats. Where did they come from being linked with Vampires? Many cultures have various myths about bats. In South America, Camazotz was a bat god of the caves living in the Bathouse of the Underworld. In Europe, bats and owls were long associated with the supernatural, mainly because they were night creatures and I believe this is truly where it stems from. It's nighttime, bats fly the night, are stealthily, and are ugly monster type creatures. I'd simply say that that was the case.

I researched over the best part of 3 years during the 90's and have my findings handy if anybody wants to know anymore information about the different types I discovered. My findings were from discussing and talking to people who claimed to be 'the real vampire.' I never met any of them so I can say they didn't attack me, lol.

So to conclude, I think that the monster hunting human prey image that we are shown from the cinema is false. Yet from my findings, the vampire tales and folklore definitely continues with some form of depth.

I love a vampire topic!

Not quite, but close enough I suppose. I mean after all, it's Newman!!

Now, back on topic. Very interesting insight there. I agree the Vampire lore is a fascinating one, although one I don't buy...

I'm what you would call an anti-vampire. When one tries to suck my blood or my chi my foot has this uncontrollable argue to kick them in the jimmy at lightning fast speeds. God, they hate that!

Just to correct a few things about the Dracul (Dracul meaning Dragon) family, Vlad Dracul was a Knight of the order of the Dragon and prince of wallachia who was killed by Romanian boyars for working with the Turks and it was his son Vlad tepes or Vlad Dracula, the "a" meaning son of Dracul who was known as Vlad the impaler. Impaling seemed to be the in thing at the time and the stories say Vlad enjoyed dipping his bread in the blood of his enemies. I see similarities with London bridge, it would have the heads of criminals on pikes to warn people not to commit crimes.

I read an interesting theory that vampires and werewolves arose from...serial killers.

It's an interesting thought, how would society explain a serial killer in the 1200's ?
The theory put forth that the church was threatened by the thought that people would accuse the church of not being able to protect them, and promoted the vampire and werewolf ideas because then people would feel they NEED the church

anyway, gypsies also get some blame according to some, as they would steal and kill their way through a country, blaming their exploits on vampires and werewolves

the only people I've come accross that have a belief that it is real are just looking for attention on the internet, really bored, or in need of help

My uncle's second cousin's best friend's great great grandpa's next door neighbor's wife was a vampire.

On a side note:

I'd let this vampire suck on my neck any time of the day.

I don't believe in vampires at all. You can't steal energy from people. Drinking blood will just make you sick. People who feel they are psychic vampires probably are depressed or bored without knowing. So when they go into public situation, or claim to be "feeding" off a storm, they are experiencing something new that mentally arouses them. Going out into new situations makes you feel better. Or being near an argument can get you hype and feel emotional and if you're sadistic like me even make you feel good, like your feeding. But you arn't. It's a normal emotional reaction. They're creating the creating the energy in their mind. They arn't stealing it from anyone.

i do believe that people can sap energy off of eachother through sex and what not, but to go all out and refer to us a humans and "you people" shows me right away that you are just insecure of the fact that you are nothing but a small insignificant human, and to people like you, you cant handle that so you search for something that can make you feel more powerful and above everyone else

what better sense of power to think that humans are nothing but lives stock and food, if vampires, ghouls and monsters exist i do not know, but what i do no is that more and more teenagers seem to be labelling themselves as vampires as the days go by

my suggestion to you is to stop reading anne rice books and get a life

if you truly were a vampire of any kind, you wouldnt be stating it on a conspiracy forum you would be out at the local school snatching children to feed on

Ahahaha.

"YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND BECAUSE YOU'RE HYOOOOMAN!"

...actually got that line from an ex-boyfriend, who believed that he could turn into a werewolf at will. And that he hunted deer in the woods behind his house at night. And that he'd found a whole bunch of other werewolves and they held pack meetings. Oh, and that he found the Book of the Moon (some kind of werewolf bible from Wolfs Rain) in his attic. I could go on and on about him.

But yeah. Those kinds? Attention seekers.
