Anyone who takes a cursory glance at WW2 might begin to notice that US Citizens were in business with Nazi Germany even into 1942. But that is as far as they go before they start calling these people Nazis. Prescott Bush happens to be one of these individuals but better examples would be for instance the:

IG Chemie subsidiaries in the United States.

During 1933 to 1938 doing business with Germany was good business, for everyone. But around 1938 the world started to get tired of Germany's power politics and Germany's bad credit line, while many did not believe there would be war many did believe there would be a sell-off and so began to divest in Germany. By October 1939 any assets still held in Germany were defunct by default, war severed all communications and all ability to profit between Allied and Axis powers.

But that does not mean corporations did not still hold German assets.

By 1942 the US Government had reviewed all held assets of Germany and seized them. Including any business Prescott Bush had done with Nazi Germany before 1939.

The Reichsmark had become worthless and Germany was attempting to use Switzerland as a vehicle for international trade and finance but it was determined that all the materials and finance that moved through Switzerland accounted for only 0.5% of the war effort. The other 99.5% of the war effort came predominantly from conquered territories and slave labor in the death camps.

Did Prescott Bush finance the rise of Nazism? No.

In fact, Nazism came to power solely by Germans. Hitler gained support of Fritz Thyssen (who becomming disillusioned with Nazism had been sent to a Concentration camp in 1943/44 until the end of the war).

But these industrial barons handed over power to Hitler, of the economic agendas (previously and currently these same economists hold power over the economy separate from the Government. The German government does not have as much autonomy over the economy as one might think).

The debates were long in the spring, summer, fall of 1932. The Winter of 1932/33 and the following spring consolidated economic policy under Hitler to the protest of many of these wealthy elites.

Following that, the economic revival attracted much outside investment, and much criticism of such investment; the former ambassador to Germany wrote a book called "You cannot do business with Hitler" arguing that a fascist state forces the US government to intervene in the economy more and more and thus kills the free market...

No one can prove substantial evidence that even Switzerland had been culpable in WW2, let alone someone minuscule like Prescott Bush could possibly have even attempted to finance or aid the finance of the German war machine.

Nazi collaboration controversy

Harriman Bank was the main Wall Street connection for several German companies and the varied U.S. financial interests of Fritz Thyssen. Thyssen had been an early financial backer of the Nazi party until 1938, but by 1939 had fled Germany and was bitterly denouncing Hitler. He was later jailed by the Nazis for his opposition to the regime. Business transactions with Germany were not illegal when Hitler declared war on the United States on December 11, 1941, but, six days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Trading With the Enemy Act after it had been made public that U.S. companies were doing business with the declared enemy of the United States. On October 20, 1942, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of German banking operations in New York City. Roosevelt's Alien Property Custodian, Leo T. Crowley, signed Vesting Order Number 248 seizing Bush's property under the Trading with the Enemy Act. The order cited only the Union Banking Corporation (UBC), of which Bush was a director and held one share, which had connections with a Dutch bank owned by Thyssen. Fox News has reported that recently declassified material reveals that the 4,000 Union Banking shares owned by the Dutch bank were registered in the names of the seven U.S. directors, according a document signed by Homer Jones, chief of the division of investigation and research of the Office of Alien Property Custodian, a World War II-era agency. [5]. By 1941 Thyssen no longer had control over his banking empire, which was in the hands of the Nazi government.

I haven't seen much accusing the man of financing the Nazis. Everything I've heard centers on his war profiteering through those Nazi connections.

So is that a repost? Do you have any sort of links or anything to add validity to that laundry list of claims?

Theres well proven evidence out there that shows the Bush family supported the Nazis.

Plus your claims have no proof of validity.
