Are there any Seismologists that peruse this site that may shed some light on the activity that is currently going on around the globe?

I have, from time to time, monitored the Iris Seismic monitor in the past, but I have never seen this much activity or "swarms" popping up in such a short amount of time.

Would love to get an experts opinion.

So much activity, it seems Mother Earth is restless.

afp.google.com...

The vulcanology office said that between September 26 and 29, 54 vulcanic earthquakes and nine tectonic temblors had been recorded, and signs were that their epicentre was moving closer to the surface.

The lake on top of the volcano has also changed from its habitual greenish aspect into milky white, and gas is coming out, the office said.

It said the chemical concentrate in the water had risen significantly over the previous months and the temperature of the lake was steadily rising.

No expert in the field whatsoever but volcanic activity is closely associated with eq's. We have had quite a lot of both lately. Tough to imagine the carnage those troops on the island off Yemen faced. Modern day Pompeii.

From another section of the USGS.gov website, here are FAQs on the earth's magnetic fields, and some discussion of magnetic pole reversal. See also the related links along the left side of that page to related discussions, charts, movies, etc. Here's that link:
