A good article talking about how bacteria frozen for thousands of years still live. Now that the once frozen areas are starting to thaw it is possible that some new strain is soon to be released on mankind

Yeah, but the article also said that the bacteria is an environmental bacteria that wouldn't be harmful to humans. They didn't find any pathogens. Nothing to panic over.

I am assuming there is good possibility of the unknown in this case. Not to mention increasing the depth of the oceans. Warming of the ocean waters and possibility of more powerful storms..

Im probably a bit paranoid, because when reading this, my first thought was "perfect opportunity for someone to release a bio-engineered virus and blame it on the ice".
