Please be aware that descretion is used when mods 'delete' threads and I think that maybe in the case of what you are speaking of, there were already a number (2) of threads discussing this subject...hence the reason they probably got trashed.

Apologies, but sometimes that is the case.....duplicate, triplet, quadruple threads....equals optimized 'trashing' or deleting of those threads.

What puzzles me is why this would cause such concern in the upper levels of the Lebanese govt. Are they hiding something?? Someone??

Bakaa Valley...deevee...and the "rumors" associated around and with it. Hint: 'rumor' and unconfirmed reports mention that Saddam moved some to most of his WMD to the Bakaa Valley. Maybe that's why the "concern".....

this is exactly how they'll play it. It may not have the impact they hope if people REALLY get focused on the jobs and economic problems we're having. I tend to agree...but I don't know if they could keep such a thing quiet....he's likely surrounded by many supporters, and it would likely be a big firefight....resulting in some legitimate press getting wind of it.....

Remember, if OBL is in US custody, it's probally to feed the CIA evidence of terrorist plans, just like in the pre-9/11 days. Don't count on any kind of trial for him, or any other top-ranking officals of al Quaida. We've got to get information from somewhere so we can fight another skirmish in the war on terrorism.

We have 3 sources confirming to us that US SOF did indeed capture OBL.
