I read today about how they are trying to find Steve Fossett using a Mechanical Turk on Yahoo news

This is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing. People hire you to complete a HIT (human intellegent task). The person who accepts the challenge looks at satalite pics to find whatever and whoever the "employer" wants you to find.

Some one asked me what I thought was going too far. I believe this would be it.

On that Yahoo page, it goes on to tell how many different ways it could be used. It goes on to say that it works so well it could find bigfoot...... my mind was perfectly capable to figure out how many other ways this could be used. Call me crazy, but I couldnt muster up the same excitement they seem to have about this Mechanical Turk project.
