The TinWiki Help Center

Alot of work has been done to make the TinWiki Help Center more user friendly. Our goal is to make working on tinWiki a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for everybody.

The Help Center has many links on it that are designed to help you become familiar with how to edit and create articles on the tinWiki website. And there is also plenty of help for you if you find you cannot locate what you are looking for in the Help Center.

Just stop by the TinWiki Help Desk, and ask your questions. There are people who are very knowledgeable in regards to TinWiki.org that will try and answer any questions or concerns that you might have.

A really great resource on tinWiki is the Community Portal. Be sure to check it out.

I have a problem.

I am currently adding some people and creatures from greek mythology to our myth, legends and beasts section, but the pictures have a little problem (no pun intended) 9 out of 10 greek pictures show certain parts of the man that arnt uslly shown, i think thats enough for you to relise wheat part im talking about. Is it ok to post then on Tinwiki as a picture ? The pictures that i found on google for the articles are all statues so thee is no real nudity; But i just need to make sure, dont want to get into trouble. Any way ive added the article about Perseus but i have not put the picture in, waiting for your answer...

My initial reaction to your question is "no way". Because we have such a strict policy here on the message board. Although I know you are not asking to post porn, I know that the pictures are supposed to be in good taste. But we are not the message board, we are the tinWiki! So I am not certain if a statue would really be against the tinwiki mission. Of course the pictures should not be copy-writed.

However, let me check with the amigos first to get a definiive ruling first.

Simple Question, how do i make one of these tables on TinWiki ? i feel like i could expand the Hercules and 12 labours part, i think that it would be helpful.

I have to say the Help and Tutorial section is extremely easy to understand once you print it out and read it. It helped Me a lot as I've added several submissions now to TinWiki, including Greystone and Continuity of Government as well as editing some minor stuff.

Ban, No Ban ? OK Try It Again..

Hey when i try to block an IP address on TinWiki after i click BAN it says malformed URL, i have noticed that the url is severely malformed as in it says the address twice in the same line, any chance on getting this fixed.

that is the URL that comes up. notice the error in it. O and i replaced the IP address with *'s for there privacy although they shown that they don't deserve any.

Not certain about that one Fox, do you mean there is an error where it says ..orghttp ? And on a slightly different note, is Buffy slittling her own throat in your avatar?

No she isn't slitting her throat, that's too gory; shes ripping off her face haha, i was thinking about changing my 500/750 lines to Pulling Back The Face Of Perfection. Any way....

That's what the URL reads, i put a space in just after the http: so that it reads how it looks instead of it becoming a link. you notice how tinwiki.org is mentioned twice in the url. It ain't right !

Hi, I would like to add/edit the wiki entry for "Ouija Board" (history section) but the page is locked. In the "view source" section it says "Project Protected Page".

Could someone explain please? Is it possible to forward the info to the project writer?
