But from what the bible says, the third temple is flesh and blood, not stone and mortar. So, in reality,
it has been built...and is
continuously being built anew in each soul, one at a time.
Since non-messianic Jews do not read the New Testament, then they are unaware of the meaning of Jesus' words regarding the temple. Although, it is
not something exclusive to the NT - it is certainly hinted at in the books of the OT prophets...to the effect of
'I will put my spirit in
them.'
It's perhaps too metaphysical to be a valid group tenet in any religion; however it does often surprise me that the Kabbalists have not seemed to
pick up on it.
