I gotta say that I hope they aren't wasting their time. No offense but really, there is no one here worth the effort.

If you are talking on a message board that means you aren't really doing anything other than another form of mental ma... uhhh... calisthenics. They don't worry about you, they worry about the people who actually do things.

Someone who expresses views against the interest of a group in power is the biggest threat that can exist to that power structure. But only if that power structure is doing wrong.

This of coarse assumes people fact check and use critical thought. Think about it, if your government is good, and a person post otherwise you will use critical thinking, discard their comment and reinforce your trust of government. Good government's try and foster and teach critical thinking to their people, not just standardized test on memorized fact regurgitation

If a government is wrong things will be different, you will use critical thinking and disagree with those in power. This is exactly why propaganda from bad people contain elements to avoid looking at the issues, and teach people not to use critical thinking (Paris Hilton new dress, Rossie is crazy) Name calling, Labeling, lack of supporting evidence and talking points built from spin.

Every cause that ended up hurting people in power started by people exchanging information.

As far as being watched, every word you say on the phone, or type is scanned and stored. It is mined for keywords and you get the award of little NSA red flags.

If this scares you from posting what you believe I offer you this parting thought. Freedom requires courage, for a society to be free they must be brave enough to claim that freedom when faced with fear. And of coarse Fear is the mind killer.

I keep reading poeple writing that they don't care about us we are just joe blow.Well then tell me why we are on patriot act number 5 or whatever the hell it is up to now.

The fact is,we are the poeple.We have the power to bring about change,or terrorism.For example if you make a post or thread about terrorism,anti goverment,etc I'm sure they have looked into somewhat.

I was talking to a friend that is a computer specialist in the army.He is the guy who does the hacking when a user is determined a threat or suspicious.He says,most of the times they do actually go so far as to hack your computer is when it is really politically strong.

Such as a impeach Bush movement that is starting to gain momentum.I told him some of the stuff that is brought up on here,and he said they probably wouldn't be to worried about it unless we really got organized and actually started getting things done.Then they would go into your computer and see what you have planned or written.And later use this information to discredit/debunk your movement.This way they get all the dirt that you don't want poeple to know about you or your movement and can discredit you or your claims immediatly should the need arise.

I have typed many responses to posts only to delete them instead of posting due to this fear. Most of the time I am afraid to discuss terrorism, Iran, Iraq and 911 events.

This is a shame for America that I, and I bet many others are starting to feel this way. It is sad I feel scared to use free speech in the United States.

I always feel like somebody is watching me here...

Am I alone in this?

Well, you are being watched. They have tons of systems analyzing what you write and say. And if they wanted to, im sure they could find out your email from this site, and then track you to your isp and so on.

But I dont live in the USA, so I doubt they would be able to arrest me in another country just because I speak my mind on a Internet forum. And if im going to live in fear of saying what I think, I might as well be dead. Whats the point with life if you live under a oppressive regime and cant express yourself? There is none.

This is MY LIFE. They have no right to tell me what to do with it, or limit my freedom to speak when they dont like it. I will never accept to feel threatened to live my life. Its mine and mine alone.

Slander is used and gathered to discredit people, this is another example of stopping critical thinking, if an actor on TV stands up and makes a valid point, it should be his points that our examined not some 5 year old case where he was linked to this or that behavior.

They also gather info on politicians, some have even shown they only put people in power if they got dirt on them, this way they can control them. This is partly why so many people in power have those character issues.

It might be suggested to keep a trip wire, put something not illegal but defaming that you know they will use to make you look bad. This acts as a trip wire to the level of attention you receive. Flip it back on them by making sure that red hearing can be debunked. Note it should not be in itself bad, it should be something that directs their image creation at time of discrediting. This can be quite satisfying when it happens you also destroy the credibility and view of competence(from his bosses) of the person directed to create your slander campaign.

Another note, if you are already tagged for being watched, erasing what you type will not hide your thoughts, they probably are keyboard sniffing, this can keep you off the list possibly but is no guarantee that your thoughts were never heard.

Oh, one more thing, sites like these that are self contained and do not expand into other areas of societies are not only allowed they are fostered. If people here start actually getting together to post web pages to complain, or take other action that change peoples mind outside this bubble. They may devote resources. But the real gem of this site is it lets them review disinformation to find where it was flawed and refine it for general consumption.

If some show was to spinny and we all jumped on it, they could tone it down. We are the beta testers of the disinformation and give the feed back to refine it for public consumption. Once a plausably acceptable arguement comes up, topic falls off they know even the lookers arn't worried, no more disinformation on that topic needed. This is Orwellian 1984 model.

From my conversation with my army buddy I gather that you need multiple key words in one letter or post or whatever it is.Also if they see certain key words coming up over and over they will take a quick look.This is what they use the "noobs" in the business for.The real strong leads go way farther up than this guy I'm talking about.

I believe him,and all the laws passed.Plus it makes commen sense that you want to monitor the internet,I mean come on.

monitoring is not the problem, it is what it is used for, if it is used to stop violence that is one thing, but if it is used to keep people deceived and uninformed that is another.

The comment that political people are watched answers this question. I could give many examples. Quakers on terrorist list for instance.

Information and activities used for just means should not need to be kept secret. If they really were just sniffing for bad people, why not let independent council review their procedures and actions. Secret are kept to protect the agenda of those who hold the secrets, what if they do not have our interest in mind.

A super computer with nothing better to do, it will occasionally spit out a IP and name when the little red flags stack up to high.

Imagine just flagging the word Impeach as in remove from office. a person spreading no no speech against Bush would use this often and quickly be moved to be looked at.

Trust me I know.Your preaching to the choir here lol.I think it is pretty telling of our goverment how the most action these "anti terrorism" laws get is watching our own citizens.Not all citizens,mainly the ones trying to cause a fuss politically.It's not really that suprising but it is certainly is alarming.

let me see

CString strTextLine;
strTextLine = fnLoadTextFromEmail(emailUniqueEmail);
strTextLine.MakeLower();
if (-1 != strTextLine.Find("impeach"))
[
.....DWORD dwIPID = fnLookUpIPFromEmail(emailUniqueEmail);
.....DWORD dwSocialSecurityID = fnGetSocialSecurityIDValue(dwIPID);
.....dwSocialSecurityID++;
.....fnSetSocialSecurityIDValue(dwSocialSecurityID);
]

other key words same mechanism, calls should have fault protection and rollback capability. To ensure all data gets updated.

There I just wrote a program to do it, it ain't that hard, and they have news articles of black rooms at Internet backbone sites.

I just saw on CNN, FBI has a site that gets 100 calls a day, from border agents, police, and other government agencies. 65 of them are found to be on the 300,000 person watch list, this list has 165,000 Americans on it.

point to ponder. And this is what they told CNN, a little chilling going on, I wonder how many the NSA have.

Let me see red flag count in this post 7

We shouldn't be afraid, we should all be angry!!
Our government counts on us to all be afraid, because that makes us easier to control. It's a shame, but I'm getting used to being under survailance from my activities as an protester. With what's going on in this (formerly?) great country now we should all be doing something! It's not too late to fix things. We need to somehow get control back from big business and put it back in the hands of the people!! Anybody have any ideas? A march on wall street?
I'm not saying we should get the pitchforks and torches out, but I'm getting tired of taking my fruitbaskets to the lords in charge

I would never consider the internet an underground for free speech. yet taking a page from the insurgents of history, you can prevail against a technocentric "empire", its drones, and auvs, and get messages across from a to b to z if the hate for the enemy is strong enough. But while immersed in its technology and a consumer of it, it is best to remember the words "discretion is the better part of valor"

According to my government we are entitled to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, among many other Rights.

So practice them, use them, I have the Freedom of speech, so you will here my opinion Loud and Clear! It is my Right. Even if I sound like a nut job, as long as I don't break the rules of the T&C of this site, I will express myself whether my government approves or Not.

I have the freedom of assembly so I choose to practice that Right, right here on this Board.

You have these Right, Express yourself without Fear let your voice be heard!

In My Honest Opinion, If the Government revokes these Rights in the Future, it is they who need to Fear, because people will and have Fought and Died for these Rights, Honor them and the scarifies made for us! Do not live in Fear, use your Rights or whats the point in having these Rights!
