Whatever it is, it must be important to get all these people and celebrities in a "venue" to make the announcement.

I'm guessing it will have little to do with the board, which is my primary interest.

lets hope there is some kind of disclosure related stuff bieng announced here... otherwise this has been nothing but a huge PR stunt in my opinion

no its working fine for me here in Australia... just that Richard guy blabbing on about how he likes ATS and a general overview of the site, nothing too interesting so fa or worth having the day off for..... lol

ok from what im seeing here this is just some kind of media upgrade of ATS that involves the general public bieng more involved in the content.... hardly worth the hype

ok so that has finished ??? So what the hell did I miss, have i seen the whole talk ??? Hardly anything that everyone didn't already know about where the website was heading...

A PR event to put the website in the public eye..... hmmm hardly a Revolution. Lets hope the site is the 1st place where time travel is confirmed so i can go back in time and reclaim my stolen 1 1/2 hours waitning here for that.....

From what Skeptic said, it doesn't sound like any kind of revolution or anything is changing at all. All of that user-generated content is already in place. Basically "we're going to take the user's hard work and sell it for our own gain." I don't think this is going to make ATS any more "mainstream" or public, at least not for the short term. Not worthy of the hype...

My respect for Springer has gone up +300%, that's about it.

Well, at least we got to see the movers and the shakers.

It's a good concept.

It seems that a lot of television shows have some sort of blog for viewers and listeners to participate.

I guess since the board is the center of the concept, rather than an adjunct, it gives it a "revolutionary" flavor.

The news didn't exactly rend the fabric of space and time, but for those of us already here, I guess it'll be interesting to see what hath been wrought.

This is one of the biggest days for the three amigos they offered to share it because it was special for them. I think we should be delighted in there success and understand that yes there was hype, but we had fun all the way through the hype.
