Wow, good question, I'd be interested in this too.
I've been to a few places around the D/FW metroplex that are being reported elsewhere (shadowlands.net) as haunted, but I've never really
experienced anything.
If you find out any info that isn't posted in this thread let me know, perhaps we could setup an outing sometime to check locations.

Well, I suppose every town has their reported haunted houses... East Texas, where I am from, is littered with such tales.

If you know what's good for you; you will stay as far away from Lubbock as possible. The whole town is haunted by the most foul denizens of the
underworld you can imagine. It is a portal of evil so evil that evil can't even describe the place.
I was one of the lucky ones to have escaped when I was 16teen and even now I shiver in horror at mere memory's.
And don't get me started about Midland/Odessa. Ask Lys.

I'm glad someone asked this question too. There aren't a whole lot of spots that I know of, I'm from Midlothian, south of Dallas. The one place
that I know of that you can't get to anymore is the Baker Hotel. In Dallas and Arlington there aren't a whole lot of places that are well known.
I've read the Shadowlands website thouroughly, but I still don't know of any places really close to me. Well there is Waxahachie and the haunted
Catfish Plantation, but thats been studied quite a bit.

Why cant you get to baker hotel anymore? Some of my friends went there once but it was like a year ago. I was planning on going there in the next few
months but if i got there and it wasnt accesable, I would be pretty mad, cuz its pretty far away from denton,tx, which is where i live. The old
parkland hospital in now being torn down or somethin and barley anything is left of it. I might try that catfish place here in a little bit.

I don't discount your belief in something threatening happening to you in those places, but yet I find myself compelled to chuckle at this.
I used to live in Big Spring a few years back, and as anyone who lives in that area knows, there isn't a whole lot out there in general. The towns
are situated far apart with nothing but desert in between them.
Anyhow, while living there, I made several trips to Midland/Odessa for several reasons, and I never noticed anything sinister.
Same goes for Lubbock, been there a couple of times as well, and never had an issue...although the people *did* seem a little ruder than normal
there...
Can you explain why you think Midland, Odessa, and Lubbock are so terrible?

As far as I can remember, I thought they where going to bring down the Baker as well. I knew about Parkland coming down, didn't know it was
haunted.
You should be able to easily find info on the Catfish Plantation though.

I seriously know of a place in East Texas (piney woods) that is haunted. But I couldn't be paid enough to go back there...really scary stuff...Civil
War soldiers were buried underneath this house...creepy

Well now you gotta tell us the stories...please. Where my great aunt is burried, somewhere down near Cameran, Texas, or however it's spelled, there
are a lot of old, old graves...plus she haunts my great uncles house. Eventually I'd like to go back and at least investigate, look around the
cemetary and the house. The cemetary is real peaceful place and there's a field opposite it, so it's a real nice place just to go, and the old
grave stones are really neat.

Funny ya'll mention Abilene that where the infamous BEK's story originated is it
not?
Anyway I'm from texas by way of Fort Worth and as far as I know the Stockyards area reportedly is haunted. It used to be called Panther City, and was
not originally part of Ft Worth.
oh and here is another web site lonestarspirits
