The Wyoming Incident

Description: The Wyoming Incident (or The Wyoming Hijacking) is a lesser known case of television broadcast hijacking/hacking. A hacker managed to interrupt broadcasts from a local programming channel (believed to serve several smaller communities in the county of Niobrara) and aired his/her own video. The video contained numerous clips of disembodied, human heads showing various emotions and "poses". The camera position changed often (usually every ten-to-fifteen seconds) and the video was often interrupted by a "SPECIAL PRESENTATION" announcement. This clip is taken from one of these intervals.

The video is mostly locally well-known, and would probably not even be that popular if it were not for the effects it had on the few residents who watched it for an extended period of time. Complaints included vomiting, hallucinations, headaches, etc. While some believed it was paranormal, specialists have determined that the cause of these afflictions were frequencies played regularly throughout the broadcast. In this clip, the frequency being played is somewhere between 17 and 19 hz. This range of frequency, when played for long periods of time, causes the eyes to subtly vibrate, sometimes inducing visual hallucinations.

This video is significant in that is one of the most recent television hijackings. Such actions were rare even in the '80s (search for Chicago Max Headroom Incident) and are even more rare today. The hacker has not yet been caught, and all attempts to trace the video have proven futile.

I should warn you guys since these were posted about a year ago on Youtube people started to parody them; you can find many parodies of them on youtube. Don't let that discourage us.

I find this incident very creepy, and I am surprised this hasn't been posted on ATS yet.

It is a very bizarre video. And I wonder what does the 333-333-333 Represents? I am curious about this

The 333-333-333 reminds me of a cab company in my hometown, Denver. Of course, their number is 303-333-3333... not 333-333-333.

I'm not too enthusiastic about watching the videos. The first one starts out with an almost painful high tone... then a low, musical series. Ouch.

Has someone watched the videos and can supply a summary?

Description: Video Four was posted by people on the Happy Cube forums, as it was received via e-mail, sent to a chosen member of the game, so the description is irrelevant, but here is the text of the email it was attached to:

I have not seen any evidence of this anywhere, to be honest.

I don't really know what to make of it.

Supposedly it was done a year or so back, about fictional serial killers and whatnot, I don't know any other details though

Ok, i dont really understand any of this stuff, i have seen some of the videos and i dont really catch the message...
Was it just a prank or something... I am really interested about this but all of the websites i have been on about it have turned out to be a lot of bull crap that i have no idea what they are talking about... One website said that for more information i needed to check out Max Headroom Pirating Incident, and that had nothing to do with the Wyoming Incident that i know of.... So if any one could explain this in english to me i would really appreciate it.... Im guessing its just a prank but am i right? Someone fill me in please.... Thank You

Thanks very much for posting that, it's the only thing that brought this thread to my attention. I find this sort of thing fascinating, and freaky. I'm going to see if I can find anything more out about this.

The WYOMING INCIDENT never actually happened, the whole thing was a hoax, perhaps one of the first examples of mass duping on YouTube by people who don't understand what supporting evidence means.

There is absolutely nothing to corroborate any of the claims made about this. It was nothing more than YouTube video/videos claiming this "hijacking" happened.

Yeah, the meaning is "hey, you know what'd freak people out?"

It's a creative fictional video made to be vaguely spooky, that's all there is to it.

I have literally made an account on here specifically since I have done exponential research on this topic for many years now, being mildly autistic helps when it comes to focusing on specific topics with such intensity.
First off the whyoming incident video is sadly a reconstruction of what the actual broadcast failure was. Secondly if you play all the songs in the entirety of the video BACKWARDS they actually have TV show song references, please search them up since it has only taken me five minutes to make an account and tell you the truth I know , I hope this helps alot . P.S I keep a copy of this on a CD locked in my gun safe since I couldn't bare looking at it on my dresser as I slept.
