England is in Oceania. Along with the America and Australia. How is Airstrip One, Winston?

Edit: I'm kidding. But you gotta marvel the similarity.

Actually Northern Ireland is a country.

Scotland, England, Whales and Northern Ireland make up the 4 main countries of the United Kingdom

Never heard that- but I heard of a underwater tunnel being built that connects to France.

I would say yes that England is in Europe.

Well, at the very least, England is culturally European.

I consider it part of Europe.

Northern Ireland is a constituent country of the United Kingdom. Whales, Scotland and England are also constituent countries of the United Kingdom.

If you look at your passport this is obvious, if Northern Ireland wasn't a country of the United Kingdom it wouldn't be written on the passport

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, since Great Britain is made up of Scotland, England and Whales then the United kingdom is made up of Scotland, England, Whales & Northern Ireland.

You can look it up if your hot sure.

Wrong.

There are only two countries in the Union, Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Act of Union 1707 turned England (which Wales was apart of then) and Scotland into one nation called Great Britain

Act of Union 1801 (I think that was the date) Brought Ireland into the Union. Then we were called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

After the creation of the Irish free state, in 1922 we became known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Which are still are to date.

that's not the question
the question is... Is England in europe?

If land mass connected England and Europe long ago what does that matter?
One time there only one land mass and therefore no continents, so.....

Also the man made channel between it and france is man made and therefore irrelevant

Thoughts?

A very poorly stated question. I assume the poster meant to ask the question geographically, i.e.: Are the islands now claimed by Great Britain and Ireland a part of the European continent? It makes as much sense geographically to ask if Vancouver Island is a part of North America. To my way of thinking the proximity is close enough to say "Yes" to both,

Gee, I hope the US is in Europe... That's where it was last time I checked... (Europe is a continent, you know?)

Hawaii isn't connected by land to the rest of North America, but what do you know? It's still part of the continent.

FYI obviously me saying UK in OP was a typo

That's another can of worms
as you may know some schools teach that Europe is not a continent but Eurasia since nothing is seperating the two

Bah, isn't that more of a political argument than a geographical one?
