Shame is right. We should all be ashamed. You are 100% correct. We sit in our comfortable living rooms, in debt up to our eyeballs, watching our big screens with an imported beer in one hand and the remote in the other.

And that's just where this government wants us. Comfortable. They make sure the masses can get easy loans to buy their houses and easy credit to fill them up with stuff to make them comfortable so when a man gets tasered by the authorities, we won't take any action because we've got all this STUFF to pay for and we can't AFFORD to make a stink. We'll just sit in our comfortable houses and type on our computers so we can feel like we're doing something about it.

Didn't the student seem manic? They gave him a 2nd chance when he complained in the beginning and then he got more manic.

They tasered him because he was resisting them and getting angry. Could they just have let him go loose in there?

If he didn't come off as such a manic nut they would have let him ask his questions.

I don't see the big deal, he acted like a nut and resisted when they tried to escort him out.

They have a protocol, they have to respond to people acting nuts.

If this guy was calm and coherent, do you think that would have happened?

I also think that people like him do this deliberately because it brings much more attention to their whacked out beliefs. Notice how whenever you see this happening they always start yelling out "help me" "help me"?

This was planned, this guy planned on making that happen to get more attention.

The issue is. If you pay attention after the kid asks his question and the cops rush him.. Kerry states.. "Hold on let me answer his questions."

So it isn't Kerry its the cops being stupid like the other 2 cases with old people.

To Protect in Serve.. More like To Punish and Enslave.

Freedom of speech does not give one the right to go way over the allotted time limit. This student created the situation. He deserved to be tasered.

Sure the student was overly enthusiastic with his questions but really, it looked to me like he just wanted to have his voice heard, how often do you get to speak to an important politician? We need more people like him really.

As for the police, well.. They acted more like hired thugs shutting someone up who was saying things a regular citizen has never heard of before.

Also did anyone notice (forgive my description) the fat cop was smiling when the student was tasered?

If half a dozen cops jumped me and tried to arrest me without telling me what for I think id be a little upset, some people run and hide others fight back its a survival instinct.

Cops do not think for themselves, someone told the Cops to shut him up, who was that person?

I know that I would have been Arrested if I was there, If not from interfering with the cops then from asking the same questions. It almost seems to me the Kerry was a shill, that he never intended to win the Election at all. That scares me a lot.

I hate to say it but it really has gone to far, the Time is now or Never.

Get Off you dang PC's and head east, this should be on every TV and PC in the country.

It's time to storm DC and clean out the Vermin.. the constitution and the Bill of Rights were a gentlemen's agreement, but today there are No gentlemen there.

If you do NOT do this, you children and grandchildren will HATE you (if they are born at all)

...reading your post, I have to say, I agree with you.

Put it into perspective for me.

The question is, What are people going to do about it?

I've written local media referencing this video. That's about all I can do from here as I am not a constituent of the municipality where this took place.

I'm a fan of tazers in situations where the only other option is a bullet. This is definitely not one of those situations.

Beyond that even, this new video shows that this is quite clearly police abuse. They were not attempting to escort him from the microphone. They immediately placed his hands behind his back and began processing him.

So again the question, What are people going to do about it? Because I for one am becoming a strong advocate of police mortality.

So are you saying that he planned on the police to be right behind him just after they cut his mic off and just before he finished what he was saying?

If that is what you are insinuating then that is a conspiracy IN ITSELF and I would say it deserves another thread.

You will note that Andrew Meyer was already subdued by authorities whilst receiving electrocution from the taser.

It is unnecessary to electrocute a person who has already been subdued. To do so is simply an act of torture.

Functionally, the taser is a torture tool. The purpose of it is to inflict such overwhelming pain on a person that the individual who has been electrocuted will comply and obey simply because they fear more torture by taser.

The taser is not a fit device for use by any police department. These events with this student and the woman in the wheelchair killed by repeated police electrocution by taser point up how unacceptable this device is.

Ban the taser.

Thank you for pointing out that very fact. It is one of several issues that need to be pointed out again and again. That this student was arrested for "inciting a riot" is another matter that should not be overlooked.

I hope Andrew Meyer stands up and fights these violations of his civil rights, but more often than not attorneys/lawyers advise working with the system. It always ends badly when you go that route. He needs to be as aggressive in fighting all of this as he was in questioning Sen. Kerry. The police authorities are not prepared to fight in the clear light of a court room after such an event. All one needs is a little moxie, a good constitution, and a lawyer who is actually a family friend that can be relied upon not to be bought off.

This is really incredible I really don't know what to say. Within 20 seconds an officer tried to stop him. 20 seconds... The teaser is not the worst part of the video IMO.
Is this the American Democracy you want to spread all over the world? Well thanx but no thank you, you can keep it all for yourself and look upon us with a few good laugh and I wont mind it at all.

I wonder if years down the road, people will get a bullet in the head for doing what he did.

I personally believe that the cops acted a bit overzealous and should not have tasered the man for resisting arrest/detainment/removal/whatever ... after all there are 6 of them.

But that is not what outrages me in this video. What outrages me is that there is no accountability in any branch of our government right now. Ask a tough question? Get your mic turned off and get tossed out of the building. The tasering is almost a non-issue ... I'll leave that to the police brutality buffs.

And once again, where does freedom of speech end? Wherever those with more power says it does? Might as well just burn the constitution right here in front of my face. Some will say oh well in country xyz you wouldn't even be able to say things like this gentleman attempted to. Well in country xyz you also wouldn't have an open forum to begin with ... and to say that we are getting closer to xyz should be a big old glaring warning of where this country is headed.

This is terrible, I just wish there were more like this person there.

We are the blind following our leader into fire, once we are there, they move aside and watch us burn. We the people are the ones dying for our democracy, we the people are the ones paying them for their big houses, cars, fancy suits and wars for more money, we the people are the ones feeling the pain of the war, yet we the people are too scared to do anything.
No wonder they have us eating out of their hands. I hope there is a revolution sometime soon. Yes I am from Canada, but I feel the pain of the people from United States, all the way to Iraq. When the time is right, I will join you guys in your protest.

No one's mentioning this, but he was tasered because he wouldn't stop screaming at the top of his lungs. He was warned that continuing to scream would get him tasered and he kept on doing it.

The officers were just giving him what he wanted.

If that ever happened, we might as well raise the N. Korean flag and bow to Bush. (Ya right.)

If the NWO is ever completed, I'm sure it would be similiar in lots of ways.

If I knew I was potentially walking into a situation in which security might "taze" me--I'd be armed with something non-lethal myself such as this:

Pepper Spray Ring

Might just allow a few crucial seconds of "escape time" to keep from being arrested. Ones that look like watches, beepers and cellphones are also on the market.

I might get one of these just "in case" ... I'd hate to have the responsibility of protecting myself with somthing that could KILL.

The taser wasn't invented to shut people up. It was invented to subdue dangerous suspects without using lethal force.

He was not in any shape to be dangerous considering he was fully restrained by a large group of officers and already in handcuffs.

The police had no reason to suspect him of a crime. He merely asked a question and they hauled him to the back of the room and started torturing him.

So apparently the taser's purpose has been modified. Now it's used to silence those who question the government.
