Israelis declare Gaza 'hostile'

The Israeli government has declared the Gaza Strip a "hostile entity" in response to the continued rocket attacks by Palestinian militants there.

Israeli officials told the BBC fuel and electricity supplies could be targeted, but not water, food or medicine.

The militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza, said such a move would be considered a declaration of war.

Hasn't Gaza been a "hostile" zone since the war last year? Seems like Israel is gearing up for something and they want to have the least amount of resistance anywhere that they can control it. This is not good for the people living in those areas however. Hamas will not take this laying down.

For some reason I just think that this is a human-rights violation waiting to happen. Granted, Israel will say that they are allowing medical supplies in and whatnot, but these people are still going to suffer. For a "country" that is hated by so many of it's neighbors, you would think that they would try to help out where they could to try and ease the amount of anger pointed towards them.
