U.S. bans diplomatic ground movements in Iraq outside protected Green Zone

I thought things were getting better in Iraq. I wonder if in part this is a attempt to stop the talk of the poor quality of the rebuilding process in Iraq, shoddy workmanship. Are they fearing a backlash skimming from the Blackwater mess.

Most likely this is just a temporary order, that will allow the US to organize new escorts for the diplomats as Blackwater boys are out of the game. Either they will direct some military personel to the baby sitter role (there are far too few qualified units so it's unlikely) or select a new contractor for the job.

Regardless of whether you believe those poor blackwoods boys (navy seals, marines, rangers retired) mercenaries making 5 figured salaries much to the chagrin of our enlisted were just handing out candy to the kiddies and got ambushed. The Iraqi people think different and are very highly pizzed off. They are trying to prevent a boil over.

There is a true dicotomy there. Gosh, I haven't been able to use that word in years. Where's a scrabble board when I need one.
