If I lived in a proverbial UN State or a country that merely secures the assets of global crimes, I might also be under the delusion that my leaders were not complicit in the acts of the Military Industrial complex.

The sidelines look much different than the frontlines. On the frontlines some of us can see that the United States is intentionally being destroyed, defamed, and used as the catalyst for world government. The US is merely the police force used to break up any country that's not part of the program, other countries part of the program serve their own function. Ask yourself which side your country is on?

The United States has to be destroyed because we still have people here who believe in freedom, people who believe in national sovereignty, not world unions.

You are right Cuhai, this infighting amongst the plebs must please them. They are Global, we are tribal.

I don't think any American in here stated that the Iraq conflict is the best thing we could have done and there is some things that need changing but not one country on this planet is without problems or mistakes. So take care of your own backyard before you jump in ours.

No other country gives more to relieve Africa than the USA. I see at least one commercial a day on our television asking for aid. They would not advertise it for all these years if we were not giving.

I see programs devoted to aiding Africa every Sunday. We are doing much to help Africa. It doesn't get much attention but we also send medical aid to relieve African HIV victims. A google search right now would tell you that this is true. We as a people and our government are doing loads of humanitian work in that continent and I am proud to be a part of it.

side note: Thank God I am not a MOD, this is a tough thread to read and follow because of the passion stirred on both sides of the issue.

I also have to give it up to Faxmachine for posting such a provocative thread. It has really gotten some good responses on both sides of the issue. I apprieciate most of the ideas brought to light.

faxmachine: in order to understand America's policies in the Middle East, first I have to say we are a hero nation. Scandinavia to my understand is barely anything more than a constitutional monarchy. I personally think wiping out Iran's military will save the world. Iran is perceived as a monster nation in America. No we will not allow nuclear weapons in Iran and no we will not consider your opinion they can have them if they want. If you are scandinavian people's aren't careful, your children will be taught the Koran in grade school.

Yyeeaaahhhhh....hmmmm.

I didn't vote for Bush. So, I'll only address what applies to me.

I watched on how lawsuits were defeated against the voting procedures and counting procedures. Stomped like grapes. I'm watching groups of peaceful protesters getting arrested en-mas and I'm watching videos of people standing up and asking questions and then being tasered and arrested for it.
I watch my Government make decisions that clearly don't make any real sense too, man. And, thanks to our wonderful media, we, as Americans, are bombarded with images that show what happens to dissidents. So, what should we do that we are not already trying? You say stand up and fight. Okay, what should be our target? Where would you start the fight?

But, remember. Whatever you come up with, I can probably find a published news report on how that method will be delt with. They'll make it somehow illegal and ignorance of the law is no excuse for those at the bottom of the ladder.
But as I agreed with in another thread, there seems to be a controlling body above our government...that's also above your government that slides you and I around like chess pieces. What can a mere Rook do to the hand that moves it if it (the rook) doesn't like the move?

So, what do we do next?

P.S. (edit)- When my daughter came home from school after a half-day today, she asked if we could go to McDonald's for lunch....

We had PB&Js and fruit cups at home. McDonald's doesn't come and pick up my kid and bring her to the restaraunt. The parents allow their kids to eat such foods. McDonald's just supplies a product for money.

From my room to yours so far away I understand your thoughts but you know I am sure that this planet is not run by the people as thought.

The peoples of all countries are allowing the handful to continue in there path of destruction.

I am not saying "all" Leaders are greedy but I will say they all crave power.

It is we the people that suffer in all countries but it is also we that have allowed them to continue in there path.

You have always thought of coming to America and many in America have thought of coming to your Country. We never seem to be happy with where we are.

This planet was put here with NO boundries and man has made the boundries. All was put here for all to share equally but this is not so is it?

Until we all look within ourselves and start making the changes we will continue to be known as doormats.

People in previous civilizations have done exactly as we are doing and look what happened to them.

The Earth will survive we will not, we have learned nothing.

I will say there are people from all over that are attempting to make change but they are few, we need to make a dicision as a family and have faith and whatever is to be will be.
