Aussie Navy pays for for cosmetic breast implants - with taxpayers money

Topic started on 16-9-2007 @ 10:20 AM by earthchild

Taxpayer money spent funding breast enhancements

Now I've heard everything.
If this isn't a blatant misuse of taxpayers money, I don't know what is.
Seems America isn't the only one that has it's priorities screwed up.

the us military has been doing this for years. all you have to do is see a doc get them to say that your small breasts are making you depressed and they pay for it..

Seriously strange. Do they work better as "floatation devices"?

Defence officials claim the surgery is justified because some servicewomen need bigger breasts to address "psychological issues".

More histrionics.

You know I was thinking, perhaps the Navy gets a cut from each pair of augmented assets. There must be something in it for the officials, other than eye-candy. If not, oh, how lame.

I'm appalled at the way people, not just women but men too these days, are pressured into mutilating their bodies through unessessary (and very expensive!) surgery to make their physical form comply to some preestablished conformist value of what is "attractive" and "beautiful". Some are willing even to pay with their lives! Like these teenage girls starving themselves to death.

I think one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen is Paola Harris and she's a very large lady, not a skinny model at all. I'm a pretty chubby bloke myself and I'm happy with my share of female attention! And I attract the "thinking woman" who's critical of conformist values herself and that suits me fine!

If the taxpayer is funding these mutliations though the Aussie Navy then it's bad, but so is people paying for it themselves!
