even though he has horrible knees now and has lost his past couple, my favorite mma fighter will always be kazushi sakuraba...
i am a huge fan of his style of grappling..

back in the day the unwritten rule was don't give your back...saku seems to do this as a technique...

royce had to throw in the towel after a 90 minute fught with saku
saku broke renzo gracie's elbow
choked out rampage
literally spanked ryan gracie in the ring
locked royler gracies arm in such a nasty keylock that if the ref had not stopped it, he would have snapped it...

he was famous for tearing your thighs up with kicks as you lay on the ground.....i remember when he fought vitor belfort at pride 5....he had belfort on his back, popped right out of his guard and then started rocking his legs.....belfort literally could NOT stand up anymore...right over.

he's 21-10 right now with 14 wins by submission...

He's a total class act with unreal technical skills.

So many to choose from.

I like the guys that promote MMA and the UFC as an actual sport, and not a bunch of punks who are street fighting. Dana White has taken big strides to have people that do not pay attention to the sport, to see it as a sport and not an act of brutality.

After the recent debacle at UFC 75, I am a big fan of Matt Hamill. Watching him on The Ultimate Fighter, I was always a fan. But the way he carried himself after getting shafted, I've got plenty of respect for that guy.

Randy Couture, Rampage, Liddell, Matt Hughes, Griffin.

I could name plenty more.

As for Tito, his pre-fight intensity and entrance are by far the best in the business.

Two fighters that I love to watch enter the ring are, Arturo Gatti with thunderstruck cranked in the background. And Tito Ortiz with Mosh pumping.

Really gets the emotions going.

he's good.
sadly though, one of mma's true great 'under achievers'..too bad...

read many interviews where he talks about his being lazy, lack of training, etc...eats a lot of burritos.....goes to surf rather than train.

that said, he could still tap most people on the planet

One fighter that I have lost all respect for, and truly do not enjoy watching, is Rashad Evans. In his last fight with Tito, he was an arrogant sob in the ring, and continued to "dance" around in cocky fashion.

Some fighters have a certain style, but his is something that I find disrespectful to the opponent.

With Rashad, it seems like it's more about how he looks then how he performs.

never liked rashad...a lot of these TUF guys get a lot of unjust respect....

that said, cause of it some guys, like matt serra are now in....i could do without several of the tuf guys though...

1. Fedor

2.JSP

These guys are the most talented fighters in MMA. Also a big fan of Roger Huerta, think he has the skills to win a title some day.

Yeah Genki is da Bomb.

I take it you've seen him in the famous 'Westside Tournament' where he subs about 5-6 guys in rapid successiona and wins the tourney.

It's kinda cute the way he grins at the end holding up a little trophy for the camera.

Well got three out of four in my predictions.

Did you get to see the kuniyoshi Hironaka vs Thiago Alves fight? DAYUM!

That was the fight of the night. (it was a prelim). That fight was mega-sick!

Keep an eye out on youtube or dailymotion for it. It's a must-see.

infamous, i assume you mean 'old vitor'...hahahaah

badge, that vid was sick...he puts that triangle on like it is nothing....

rickson gracie used to go to big wrestling colleges and tap the team one after the other.

he ha sa school in cali and out towards the west/midwest wrestling is pretty big.

rickson would go into arizona or idaho, whatever...

go roll with the team and then one by one, they would roll and he would tap them all but before they started he would tell them how he would tap them.

there is no footage of this but i believe it to be true....a couple people that are down at gracie humaita' talk about it...others go too.

really blows genki is not going to fight anymore.....
i love fighters like him.....

lets face it...he is not 'the best' but he is 'damn good' and i don't know about you but most of my favorites are not 'the best'...

genki is definately one of the greats and has been around.....

badge, i really like this, ALMOST as much as mma.
pure grappling.....abu dahbi.....

you ever get into this?

this is matt serra vs takanori gomi
