They say ancient beliefs all had saviors born on dec 25. so that the audience connects it with jesus being born on christmas so they will think christianity copied other realigions. Christianity does not even say the exact time jesus was born. christmas is just a time that we recently decided to celebrate his birth so dec 25 has no connection to other religions.

its all propoganda

Rebuttals? No sources cited in that film and that is scholarly work, eh? If it was an 8th grade research paper, it would be handed back to the student.... What else you got?

Most of the stuff in Zeitgeist comes from discredited sources like Acharya S. It has been rebutted here and here and notes from Biblical scholar Ben Witherington here.

As to the claim that Christianity is nothing but an amalgam of other religions in the ancient world, the most detailed available is located here and details 35 separate ancient deities and rebuts the notion they had any connection to Christianity's origin. From the same site is a rebuttle of the Christ Myth notion here.

This should serve to effectively @itch-slap Zeitgeist.

Revelations was written at a time when Christians were being persecuted. It was written in code.

That is completely untrue. There is a large debate on who wrote Revelation, but the writer (John) makes it quite clear who he was from the very beginning.

Revelation 1:9
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

John the Beloved, Apostle of Christ, was banished to the Isle of Patmos by Roman Emperor Domitian, which is where John received the words of Christ and the visions written in Revelation.

It was not written in code, and was written by the aposlte of Christ, John the Beloved.

I know I have several postings here already, but the more posts I have the more privileges on the site, so I'm posting replies as I read.

Anyway.. we do know the date of Christ's birth. Again, it's recorded in the bible but only in the description of events that occur around His birth. He was born on Sept 11, 3 B.C.

You can check the facts, but the quickest way to find them would be to go to this site, or good "Christ born September 11."
