What are you on about jpm? I was just calling attention to the fact that John is a normal human who is not infallible.

How is that railing people into a warn? Hmmm?

People who get warned get there all on their own. Nobody, especially not me, forces anyone to hit the post button.

I'm really sorry, but this is not making a lot of sense to me. Where's the beef here, if I may ask?

Well, that told me. Boy howdy. I feel so chagrined.

I do get it, by the way. I have for quite a bit.

And, in good John Lear tradition,

Thanks for posting.

ITF, I can see what you are getting at. But there are people with even more unbelievable stories (sleeper), that get passed on as first hand experience. At least John passes his info as what he has heard/gathered etc. etc.

Perhaps the real disinfo agents are friends of his?

OP is a dishonest skeptic and is dead wrong on most things, but not here. But it's weird, because Lear's disinfo is perhaps the best evidence of all that government is covering up alien/ufo activity.

I'm going to go ahead and put it out there.....there probably are no more real disinfo agents. They might have been necessary for cover-up back in they day, but people have become so absurd in their beliefs that there is no need to even have disinfo agents.

The whole disinfo agent/goverment shill label is just something people use when they get backed into a corner through the use of common sense, reason, and logic. And it makes for good fun.

The bodyguard thing happened awhile ago. John can probably pin down the dates for us.

The bodyguard thing happend at the UFO Expo in Los Angeles I think in 1988. Jim Arament was the promoter and I was big UFO name at the time.

When I got to the expo Jim explained that he had hired a couple of guys to dress up in black and pretend to be my body guard. It was hilarious. They followed me all around (with a real serious look on their faces), stood around while I had a hamburger in the coffee shop (looking menacingly all around), stood there while I was giving interviews and escorted me to the stage for my presentation and then stood guard while I gave it.

Jim put on many UFO Expos and I was always invited but they were never as 'electric' as that one with the 'bodyguards'. We had some great laughs over that one. My 'star' pretty much faded after that and I never did do many more lectures.

Thanks for reminding me Schuyler.

And Jim, if you are out there give me a call, I haven't heard from you in years. I'm in the book.

Muhahrhar..

stood around while I had a hamburger in the coffee shop (looking menacingly all around

great idea..

I think I agree with that statement(s). Why pay someone (and manage them), when your work is being done for free by kooks, hoaxers and those with a religion based on UFOs.

He says there are 600 millions people living on Mars, do we need more evidence?

IMO John is a person with alot of heart! This here reminded me of the show called Just For Laughs..

They got 2 guys to dress up as agents, and walked up to people talking on public phones.. I said to myself... "oh man, this would be so funny if they did this to a member of ATS."

John has a great sense of humor, and is honestly a good guy.. Im glad to have him around here!
my 2 cents worth..

LOL, another thread about John Lear being a disinformation agent? Are you guys doing searches before you post these? This is ATLEAST the third thread about John spreading disinformation in just this year...

Well I guess I'll say what I always say in this thread. I seriously don't think John is a disinformation agent for two reasons. The first reason is he's to sincere. John doesn't force his opinions down anyones throat or post with a 'this is how it is' attitude. John states what he believes and leave it up to you to decide if YOU believe it too.

Secondly, if John was a disinformation agent, why would he be spouting out such outrageous claims? Wouldn't a disinformation spout out disinformation that hits closer to home? Stuff that would seem more plausible to your every day citizen. John's theories are almost to far out there to think he is working for the government or any other organization devoted to spreading disinformation.

Just my 2 cents..

P.S. these threads are getting old..

I see now.

John is a DISdisinfo agent. Hide in plain sight. Make the most outrageous claims, because they're TRUE!

Nah. That goes too far from my safe, secure zone of skepticism to suit me.

I can't believe moderators would allow such and uncivil thread like this.

This is and outrageous insult to John Lear, and I don't understand how it is even considered a "topic".

John Lear is a normal person like the rest of us. He base's his opinion on his knowledge and or lack of knowledge, just like every single person in this thread including myself.

This entire thread is a mockery of the rules the moderators uphold to keep things civil and not personal.

IWY, I think you're missing the fact that most of this is joking, and John Lear himself has been in here joking as well.

If this was malicious, the mods would have been all over it by now. It's just a little good natured joshing at this point.

I think a lot of posters here don't understand one of the most common tactics of disinformation-"poisoning the well".

Here's how it works:

1. Infiltrate a group that is getting close to the truth.
2. Spout outrageous and laughable theories to smear the group by their association with you.

I think Lear is, intentionally or unintentionally, doing grave damage to the credibility of the forum and should be removed.

Some of Mr Lear's opinions are hard to for me to believe, but most arent. I do believe he has seen a "real government" flying saucer and his assesment of what really happened on 911 alligns itself with mine. I love visiting this website for the variety of opinions and skilled debunking that I read.

You know what, we need some way to do a poll, to settle this issue once and for all.

I LOVE these threads, I really do. Disinfo agents makes me think of Boris and Natasha from the old Bullwinkle carton. we are supposedly denying ignorance, but so few seem to have read Books about the art ( ie strategy ) of war.

I personally think the Government is a bunch of incompetent morons that couldn't do a "real" Job. Same with most of the Military at Higher ranks.

John Lear is no different then the rest of us, he has his own perception of events, and "allegedly" may have information we do not. I have been privy to information that others have not had ( as when Andropov died in the USSR ) I knew it before the public did but was not allowed to revel it, so I had a different perspective on the USSR than others, if I had spoken of it at the time, I'm sure people would have laughed at me, because at the time, it would have been outlandish. Now it's common knowledge and history.

Is a story of a guy getting told by "God" a moral code any more outlandish then a soul catcher on the moon? Many people follow this Moral code and do not question it's Origin

Nostradamus, Edgar Casey, John Lear, is the idea any more outrageous?

maybe he Does know things we don't maybe he doesn't, or maybe he is creating reality by his statements. I don't speak of things I think may come to pass in the future because it causes me a quandary, did it happen because I saw the future or did it happen because I said it. only the prophet that is correct gets martyred, the false prophet always lives. this is why I "try" to keep my mouth shut now that I'm older, "no good deed goes unpunished"

Each of us is shaped by our perceptions, and thats all, what we share in common is great, but never try and denigrate anyones convictions, that would be as silly as disliking a group of people for there eye color
