Bob -- you're right! Those ARE true!

The 'cherry tree' myth was one of the earliest I saw debunked, and I do remember the Iran-Contra mess, and Jefferson and Sally Hemming (his slave, whom he impregnated) is a very well known bit of history.

That's funny... that the Onion would post a REAL piece of research under fiction. Great find, Ma-Ha!
