Interesting. If we were being watched by ETBs during a world-destroying war, would they step in with superior America-style self-appointed authority and try to sort us out?

All of thee above, with the exclusion of Wampas, but... with the inclusion of the ones we have alienated here on earth.

The question is why would an advanced species thousands or millions of years ahead of us really care? Intervention would constitute cultural pollution and likely cultural genocide. Humans are simply to primitive to be worth their time, theoretically anyway if we are being observed by an advanced species beyond comprehension thats what they will do is observe and nothing more.

Watching us war would be like us watching a swarm of insects wipe each other out. We would not intervene with insect annihilation so why would a species comparably as advanced in comparison between humans and insects intervene to save us.




To put it simply people invest to much time in religious mumbo jumbo. Every generation believes they will see the so called end time including this generation.

A highly advanced species capable of intergalactic or interstellar travel would not have made it that far being a war like species. It is highly probable that such an advanced species is benevolent as opposed to malevolent. They will be beyond the need for slaves or worshipers as it is ultimately pointless especially if you have the power of the universe at your disposal. They would likely be more interested in bettering themselves and their knowledge as opposed to conquering the universe.

the only reason i can see for any other being stepping in is out of pity.. like a VET views a sick horse .. they may step in but it might be both barrels time for all of us.

i hope so my friend i really do ... it may be the only hope we have..if they are watching us they need to step in soon to unite the people of the earth as one species, one race, one people. i truly believe that if we were to find out that we 'are not alone' it would unite us in a way neve before thought possible.

War does bring them, but only so they can prey. Once the weak are destroyed they will come pick through what's left, take the best and then leave everyone else to perish in a world encompassing inferno. That's why war has to stop.

Perhaps this is also why religion teaches heaven and hell. Because the aliens want those who are willing to blindly follow orders. Those who don't conform are left to burn in"hell" and those who do conform become the slave to some freaky "shoe tapping" alien. 'Heaven"?


I don't believe this myself but do consider it a possibility. I actually hope aliens would save us from those destined to conquer the world and also show us the path to a much more wonderful future.

You know when you are watching a nature program and the crew never get involved even if a huge lion is about to rip up a cheeta cub, well i reckon it would be slightly similar. If there are any ET's and they were watching us destroying each other i dont think they would have no reasons to get involved and quite frankly if i was one i would just sit ack and watch the show, why would i bother trying to stop a bunch of hate filled entities?

What happens when we militarise space and develope the technology to travel huge distances? We cant even go a decade without a war over resources here! You seen independance day? Well thats us in 2000 years time, flying round wiping civilizations out and stealing there resources. My point is why would any aliens care for us? the universe would be a better place without out us in there minds, surely!
