one of the articles was saying that the entire plate is now facing increasing stress.

The seismologist say there is a possibility the rest will blow.
They say the entire subduction zone has to be ruptured before it will stop. Researchers are saying that last weeks's quake was just the tail of it.

The Sept. 12th quake spurred volcanic activity near the epicenter and there were increased number of tremblors in three volcanoes in Sumantra which tells them of the movement of magma.

It seems they are still having quite large quakes in the Sumatra area.

Today, Thursday Sept. 20 a 6.7 quake hit Sumatra Island at 0831 GMT the depth was 76 kilometres below the seabead and 120 kilometres South of Padang.

No Tsunami or dmage reported, they say this was an aftershock and there have already been over 100 aftershocks since last weeks quake and that 9 have been over 6.0
