We've had a recent rash of complaints (most just day-to-day stuff) where members seem to expect a response in their complaint. The form has been chaned to a "suggestion form" and... Your suggestion is not posted anonymously... If you don't tell us who you are, we can't respond to your complaint or suggestion, so the form functionality has been changed. Zion... great picture!

Ultra Phoenix... really? Christ...

cyperpilot... your not complaining, are you?

Why not just do away with the "complaint" altogether? We already have the "ignore" function. If we had an issue with somebody, wouldn't it be just proper to U2U them, and explain ourselves/themselves? At least, that'd be the sensible thing to do.

If working it out between the two individuals didn't work, then the matter could be brought up to MODS or whomever via U2U.

I would think having handy access to the "complaint" button makes it too easy for people to use... I mean... the temptation is too great, and having access to it just makes people jump to quickly, instead of thinking things through without doing something sensible first, like working things out!

Yeah people complain too much in this place. I've been pissed off a couple times during my time here. But I don't see the need to start complaining and crying like a baby for every stupid thing. Bunch of assholes complaining all the time. :shk:

IMHO soothsayer:

"Why not just do away with the "complaint" altogether?"

The 'complaint' feature is a useful tool to allow ATS to help you and ATS to be a better place, to help make it function a bit better, and to possibly correct some things that are not normally seen or caught by those concerned.

The biggest thing is remembering what SkepticOverlord mentioned:

"If you don't tell us who you are, we can't respond to your complaint."

In doing this, it allows those concerned to help possibly understand what the 'complaintant' is refering to, better give those concerned a better idea, clarification, etc.

Other than that, the complaint function is an asset to ATS and the continued betterment of the ATS community, in general.

After the 1st few, you've reached your quota.

After that, they ignore you even though you've given your name.

They are posted in a special complaints subforum in the mods & admins forum.
So if you want feedback, put your name under the complaint!

While you're logged in, click on the 'complain' tab at the top along the black bar.

You'll also notice there are a bunch of other options along the black bar as well.

THIS MEANS YOU!

After another spate of anonymous complaints that requested a response, I think its time to remind everyone about this thread.

If you are using the complaint form because need help with something. Or if you want a response from the complaint. You have to tell us who you are.

I mean, we are pretty good at being Detectives if we have to be and figuring out who it is asking for help. But it isn't always possible and gets a little long in the tooth. Please please give your name (username that is, just saying -bob isn't likely to help) if you want a response from your complaint.
