What do you plan to do without a gun if we are under martial law and looters are breaking into your home, stealing your stuff, and raping your children? You plan on using a whale harpoon to take them out?

no, whale harpoons should be banned too. Also, being mean or negative should be banned. Everyone that wants to buy a gun should just go and read "the secret" and take some yoga. This world would resolve all of its problems if everyone knew the secret.

Truthfully, if every househeld had a gun, there would be far less criminal activity. It's like the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) -- having weapons is a deterent.

Canadians have a lot more guns then Americans and they keep their doors unlocked. They also have a much less angry and hostile media. Their crime rate is a fraction of what it is in the U.S.

Uhh, I wouldn't go as far as saying that Canada has more firearms in their homes than Americans do. That's a big void to fill in difference. I think what you meant to say was that crime in Canada is so low that people trust each other enough to keep their doors unlocked.

And yes I saw Bowling for Columbine.

Quite frankly it sucked.

With the progress genetic engineering is making this just might be possible seeing as you would have to completely redesign human nature.

As much as I love me some TNG, Star Trek was largely Socialist propaganda with characters usually used to portray opposing economic ideals as barbaric and unevolved.

I find hunting sick. I am angered that anyone in these times are still allowed to hunt whale, dolphin (porpoise), or mostly any other animal.

Hunting is necessary as humans have displaced many natural predators. In America for example, we no longer have the numbers of bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes and wolves that we once had, as humans have expanded into their former habitats. Without hunting, the deer population for example would explode causing a great deal of ecological damage before nature restored balance by starving most of them to death.

I appreciate your overall attitude towards guns however. I think it all boils down to freedom of individual choice.
