EDIT: In that video he does. Intriguing. Any previous known videos to compare the voice with?

I wonder if this is not actually the Osama video that is supposed to be delivered, and another one will be sent soon. If this was sent before the US Invasion of Iraq, than why is his beard dyed black; Osama sent messages before and after the invasion, and his beard was not black (this person still does not look like Osama).

Perhaps we could also compare the voice of Bin Laden from other videos, perhaps common words spoken to see if there is a match..

I wrote this thread last year, it kind of fell to the wayside without much discussion, however in it I question the authencity of the Bin Laden in the 2004 video. I think it might help in this current discussion, especially since I think this 2007 Bin Laden is either the real Bin Laden or the best double yet.

Was the 2004 Bin Laden Video a Fake? And If it Is..

now comparing to the 2007, which I believe Bin Laden looks more like Bin Laden even with the black beard, I have to wonder why there is so much inconsistency of the facial characteristics of this man. Certainly the newest video released on Friday could have computer generated or enhanced, but it does raise questions as to why.

If Bin Laden doesn't want to be seen or didn't really want to dye his beard, why didn't he just release an audiotape?

I'm curious to see what 9/11 anniversary video still to come looks like.

honestly everytime i see these bin laden videos i just feel this weird vibe about the whole thing..it just doesnt seem "right" to me..i feel like it's a big deception and he's not even saying the things they make him out to be saying..i know sounds weird but i just feel it

I noticed that the voice in the video in filtered/altered, it has an artificial depth or reverberation.
Anyway the video is too shiny. An editor of this skill level wouldn't leave frozen frames by mistake. And making a mistake in a terrorist vid can cost his life, he should know

So its either a mess up in google's copy or was introduced while copying from the original OR this can be intensional.

If it is intensional, my doubt is on US. Its them who are forging the videos. Be ready for next pseudoattack on their own poor citizens. Clearly someone doesn't want this war to end, they must be benefiting by it like hell.

Play the 2004 and the "new" video at the same time. We have two different voices. The tone may be similar but the vocal patterns do no match up at all.

Well...coughs... I had a thread on this 3 days ago when it first broke. But ahem it gets closed.

Also while I was digging around I came across the name Tim Osman.. I'm starting to think 9-11 was a ploy and Bin Laden was the puppet.

You know, I was just watching the news and they mentioned the new tapes (and one supposedly expected soon). They mentioned that Osama wants Americans to "Take up Islam, abandon democracy and capitalism." This phrase (CBS2 News at Noon) brought up an interesting idea. It's probably nothing, but it triggered my thinking muscles.

Is Bin Ladin a prophet? There are enough Americans out there who believe America's ways are going down hill. Abandoning the idea about Islam (or maybe not... maybe the Church is going to go a bit too far in the USA), do Americans still need to forget democracy and capitalism. I kind of think so. I don't believe this 100% I'm not some stickler for this idea, but it makes some sense. Maybe Osama wants us to 'fix' this soon, before the idea about Martial Law that is floating around on ATS lately becomes a reality.

Dunno, it's an idea, though.

There definitely seems to be two different Bin Ladens in those vids. They don't appear to be the same person. Bin Laden (2004) looks older, whereas Bin Laden (2007) looks younger. In addition, his facial features aren't matching. I just don't think they're the same person.

The voice does sound clearer, and possibly filtered, but in hte first video from 2001 there was back round music.

Perhaps the reason for the frame freeze is that it took several takes to get what he wanted from the video. So instead of going back and forth through the video editing he just read the script and froze the frame. The message is very pristene, when you think about what he says, it's very true.

Unlike G.W. Osama Bin Laden doesn't just come out to say what he is thinking off the top of his head and mesh a bunch of things together. He is stating what is going on, behind the scenes.

It's true the US has killed more than any terrorist, or enemy ever has. Think about how many innocent people alone dies in Heroshima, Vietnam, and now in Iraq. And why? because they lived there.

I bet if the shoe was on the other foot and it was another country say China doing this to the US they wouldn't stand for it. So why does the US expect anyone else to?

If you agree with the war in Iraq but don't understand the fact that it's not about Democracy, patriotism, or Freedom then what reason do you have to agree?

I see people with these bumper stickers that say "if you don't stand behind the troops you might as well stand in front of them" Well no, Im not going to stand anywhere near that.

I believe in defending yourself against an enemy, but what has an innocent civilian in Iraq that you've never met before ever done to you that means the Military has the right to kill them?

The United States has many enemies and to make a bold claim that we have killed more people (I assume you mean civilians and not enemy combatants) in my eyes is just attrocious.

For what it's worth, he was still responsible for the planning and execution of the deaths of thousands of American citizens. Despite the lies and cheating, I don't think the US government has ever executed that many people in one go (American Citizens that is). Right now in my eyes Osama is the worse entity. I say entity because I'm not sure what his status is.

I think the men in both videos are different. It's a little too convenient. The long frame freezes I mean.

IMHO this Bin Laden video is fake, pure fakery, what are the leveles assoiciated with it....? That we might never know.
