I'm glad to see some good positive responses to this topic.
I am a firm believer of life outside of Earth and the more we see of strange anomalies on Mars, the closer we come to understanding WE ARE NOT ALONE.

I too firmly believe there is life off of our planet, but that doesn't mean every quirky thing we see on the nearest planet to us is an alien base!

Viendin, what if the so-called Aliens looked like anyone you see when you watch TV? Or movies? Or running the government?

I remember reading about one of the astronauts hitting a golfball on the moon...do you think he drove it too hard and hit it all the way to Mars?
Seriously though, I'd need to go to Mars myself and see everything with my OWN eyes, rather than rely on images that can be messed
up/doctored/created.

Aliens?
That's superstition.
But keep dumping your tax dollars into it. Your protectors love you for it.

We are all the offspring of an advanced race.
And there's more than one.
The good beings have compassion for ALL life on Earth.
We are against environmental destruction and inhuman atrocities.

not that i don't believe we are descendants of ets, but aren't we responsible for environmental destruction, which by your theory, would we are
helping the 'evil' aliens?

dunkleskates, yes many of us contribute to our own demise.
I didn't and would NEVER create a wasteful all consuming society like the one we live in today.
All you can eat buffets and eating contests with people gorging themselves while other nations starve is just insanity to me.

If I remember correctly, the highest res images from the mars sats are 4-5 meters per pixel in size.
Seeing that picture I'd say its at least 50 pixels in width, so the ball must be at least 250 meters diameter.
