It is the same ol' thing. Soldiers do not have a brain and only take Orders. Of course, after the mental tasks which is equipment training for a few
and all of that schooling it still comes down to the same thing. Since taxes are paying for all of it, keep them busy to make it look like they are
doing something, and exercise to provide a response and still probably have it work out wrong in the end somehow, because of variables no one can
predict and no thinking is done again, in the head, and mental exercises because -- It not all that you can be, it is we pay you, so do what you are
told.
Adults are not kids and kids are even smarter than that. Play a computer game and mental exericise the mind and quit having the Feds spend money,
because they are not jumping high enough to prove anything to the American People.
We the People to Insure Domestic Tranquility and Justice, Do.................
have to pay for all of this crap and carp that goes on.
If volunteer people worked like this, half of the USA would have no firepeople (men) or anything else, with the way things are thought out.
Grow a brain, and yes, I am older and grumpier!
Not all that grumpie and not really really old, but you know what I mean, I hope.
The disaster is in their head to begin with, and although preparation should be a concern, having all people ready is really education they only
conduct and approve for theirselves.
Avoid the Area, there's a bear loose in the woods. Avoid the Area! (somewhat considered by me to be a joke.) ( Don't get too amused, this has been
going on for the last 30 some years. They say something and do something, and a lot of people -- say -- Grow a Brain! -- again they had another
thought! What if something happens? Duh? You have pages and pages of plans, none of which anyone really remembers, then if something goes wrong
someone else can blame someone else for it going wrong in the first place. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Insanity! Learn to think for yourselves. The
Government is Dysfunctional, it seems!)

The scary part is, when ever there is an exercise, something actually happens dealing with what the exercise is about....

I am for one glad that I can keep these exercises in prospective. That is only due the right to information act. You can look into the hundreds of
operations that have been happening all of my life, and if you connect the dots wide enough there is always some correlation to some situation
somewhere.
I am at the point where I know that Rome is about to burn, but at the same time I have to ask myself what am I doing to help or hinder this event...

I wanted to produce that fact, but while researching the possibility I found that statement to be untrue.

That seems like a very heavy statement to just make without any proof.

Whats this about supporting Afghan govt. in 95? Theres an Afghan civil war and the govt. collapsed since the early 90s.
If you go to the edited link provided above you will find the list of past and future exercises and the one you refer to was during a time when Bush
sr. was in office and that was the way they worded it not me. If you find I have made a mistake let me know ok!

This could be quite serious... I'll wait to see if it really happens before I pass judgment though.

Just wondering, but how many of the posters and peeps in here would rather the government not be prepared? I mean can they really win. If something
bad happens and the government didnt prepare for it, you say Its their fault for not protecting you, which is not their job anyways. Then when they
do try to prepare and practice so they can at least try to protect you, You cry Foul again saying its some conspiracy. Can they ever win? Is every
government employee "evil" and brainless? How about the cops? Do they ALL just want to harass you?
You know, there are a lot of Good people in the Government, in fact, the Good out weighs the bad when it comes to people in the government. Exception
Politicians.
Martial Law, though it sucks, is the best way to Protect you, when the stuff hits the fan, the last thing you want, is a bunch of Conspiracy Theorist
Moblings running the streets crying WE LOVE YOU JIMMY HOFFA!!

If any of you can strive to remember the chaos and bungled attempts by the government to respond to Katrina, then you would easily understand that red
flags went up all over the place that we were simply not prepared to deal with a huge disaster, whether it be man made or not.
IMO they need to run these exercises a lot more than they do... practice makes perfect, and should this country endure another major disaster in my
lifetime, I want them damn good and ready to go.
Peace

Right, the Government, as distrustful as they seem to have made them selves in the past decades, really needs some serious practice. The problem is,
no one wants to sanction such practices, nor give up the funds. The Eco Terrorists prevent a lot of worth while practice that could have saved
countless lives. Politicians want the money lining their pockets, and the People are to busy complaining about how horrible the lives are, when in
actuality, their lives are awesome.
I didnt see where it stated Martial Law in that report. and I dont really trust the source either. Granted, I would say that about any Media source,
but I say it more about this one.

Are they using the term Civilian control of the exercise because they know people will be thinking martial law?
Is Civilian control, non public like the transition of military logistics and even the use of corporate mercenaries?
Why did they choose Oregon? Oregon has the largest areas of survivalist, could there be a few round ups tossed in while people are thinking they are
just training?

Being in OR, I'll keep my eyes open.
I know a few guys at work that will get kick out of that
being the survivalists they are ( non stop talk of it ).
Will be interesting to see what unfolds.
