Airline sacrifices goats to appease sky god

This is shocking to me, apparently the article says that these sacrifices are a common occurance within Hindu culture. I think it's wrong to kill a goat because you could't maintain your airplane properly. I wouldn't feel comfortable getting on a plane run by a company that slaughters goats if their planes have technical problems.

It makes me wonder ...

Is there a specific animal sacrifice required for each type of mechanical failure? If not, why goats? Why would a sky god like goats? Because they're tasty?

Does the sky god give a warranty on repairs? If one of the goats wasn't to his liking, will the warranty be voided?

What happens when they're in the air and an engine fails? Is a goat in the cargo bay for emergencies, or do they just sacrifice a stewardess?
