Scooping his own scheduled announcement, Republican Fred Thompson just told NBC-TV's Jay Leno that "I'm running for president of the United States."

I watched the show when he announced and Thompson received multiple large rounds of applause.

Considering the current pre-election environment, better late than never I suppose.

He's a bit too far to the right for my blood. But I'll take a hard-line right-winger any day over Socialist Scum Hillary.

Thompson definitely does not appear to be part of the Agenda, and since Ron Paul doesn't stand a chance, perhaps there's still hope for this country.
