all i could do is pee myself laughing when i heard, and they had the gall to say that security worked perfectly, perfectly would have been stopping this before it got to the first checkpoint, what if it had've been terrorists with explosives, granted i wouldn't be laughing, but everyone would've been asking how could they let them get that far.

Watching the news now - all the pollies and police are horrified. That's what $300M gets us. Keystone cops, disruption and infringement of our rights.

The Chaser team was actually very lucky not to get shot by security.

AU$150 Million dollar for Sydney APEC securtiy down the drain. The went past 2 security checkpoints. When "Osama" got out of the motorcade they realised that this was a Prank motorcade.

I'm PROUD and glad that the majority of Australians still have a sense of humor -

I have to admit that this is absolutely hysterical and I wish I had thought of it.

What is surprising to me though is how easy it was. A few cars, a couple motorcycles and some bogus flags and they were waved through security. What if it had not been some guys playing a prank and instead had been a "real terrorist"?

Exactly - it just shows what a joke all of this extra security and special laws are. If someone REALLY wants to blow themselves up, then there's not much can be done.

The Chaser Team was not stopped after passing the 2nd police checkpoint. They actually turned around 10m before the Intercontinental Hotel where President Bush stays to avoid snipers.
